New Pin Collecter excited!
I collect Stitch, First Responder (Firefighter/Police/Military/Security), 7 Dwarfs, Star Wars. My wife collects Carousels and Dragons.I was just reading up on the difference between scrappers and real pins, so I appreciate that advice. I collect Genie, but we just started dabbling in the mystery sets. It’s quite an addicting hobby but we love it. Wife is all over villains right now. firechief18 what do you guys collect?

Hi ya, welcome to the fun new rabbit hole of pin trading and collecting! Love that you and your wife have joined the fun. It's a great community here on the Forum and lots of folks, including myself, are more than happy to help answer questions or trade with you when you feel ready. As a family, we collect a little of everything and love looking at people's collections. Looking forward to seeing how your collection grows!
Welcome to the community!!Will you be attending the event this weekend?
Oh we love Hilton Head! If you go to the menu bar you’ll see a tab for events! That will show pin events across the U.S.Not this weekend.
1. I don’t even know about a pin event this weekend. Where do I find pin events?
2. We’re in Hilton Head for a week so I won’t be back until next week.

Hi and Welcome! The best way to learn is by asking questions. Remember that the most experienced pin trader was new at one point; if you want to know, ask away and we'll do our best to answer it for you.
In the meantime, if you come across a pin you can't identify, try posting it Help me Identify This Pin!
If you come across a pin of, shall we say, questionable authenticity, post it Pin Comparison
When posting pins for identification purposes, please take pictures of both the front and back of the pin, close enough to see the details, with a minimum of glare/shine/reflection from the camera.
Honestly, we need more people simply asking questions to help drive discussion. I've been thinking about starting a AMA style thread, but for anyone to answer. But I also didn't want to start a thread that only got a few replies.I appreciate that! I think I’m worried about asking too many questions, knowing very well that everyone started by asking questions as well, but still feel like I’d become bothersome.
I definitely appreciate the advice though as I continue through this wonderful journey of pin collecting!
