I was just wondering if the messages I am sending on the new Pinpics are going through? After I hit send, I just get a blank white screen. I have not gotten any responses so I don't know if people are getting them. Any help or info would be appreciated.

I don't have any from you, but it's easier to try to send one to a friend and ask them if they got it. So they know its coming
 
I just got my first response back but what I don't like is the fact that my original request is not referenced. I can't tell what my trade request was? I don't like that.
 
I checked PinPics and found out I had a trade request. Trouble is, the name on the "from" line does not match up with any username on the new or old site and there isn't an email to check references. Usually, with an email you can also see if it's from out of the country. What am I doing wrong?
 
I am not a huge fan of the way the new site does the messaging at all. Why wouldn't it include what was originally sent. That is why I am still using the old site. When it goes down I guess I am done online trading except for here.
 
I have replied to a couple of requests lately on the new pinpics and get the blank white screen. Never heard back from the other trader. I also tried contacting pp about a trade I think that's gone south, again, blank screen and no reply. It was a high end pin trade and I'm not a happy camper. I have no idea how to contact them to see if they can get a hold of the other trader since I can no longer see who I traded with, or open the messages. UGH!! I hate the new site! I will say I am done trading on the new site, unless it's someone I have traded with many times in the past. Grrrrrr!!!
 
I sent one message/request to someone who asked me to just to see how it all looked, and I did get a confirmation that it was sent. :dunno: However, I have received two emails saying that I have request/messages, yet when I get on pinpics, there is never anything there???
 
I never log on to the new version of Pinpics, so I don't ever see the offers made to me. The old version at least sent me an e-mail. So, it's possible that many of those who are not responding may not be seeing your offers.

ditto I was super surprised the one time I did log into the new PinPics to find trade requests there, especially since I have my trade assistant switched off! So if people have been sending my offers and I've not responded I apologise, but after double checking that my TA was still set to off I went back to using the old site, its just so much easier and I'm too lazy to learn how to use the new one when all I want is to list my pins!
 
Since the old version will eventually go away, I am trying to use the new version. I do like the "Compare Pins" function for trying to set up trades. They do need to fix the messaging so it will reference the original request. I do still use the old version a lot like everyone else. We need a suggestion box so we can give some input. Do you agree?

I hate that it doesn't include the message that was sent to them. Now you have to go back to your sent folder and look through all the emails that were sent and find the one that was sent to that person so you can figure out what pins are being offered. It's really a pain if you sent out a bunch of requests and have to look through them all!! :mad:
 
I am seeing mixed results with the new systems.

1) You have to remember to check both the person you are going to send the message to and the pin or pins that you want them to consider.
2) If there are more than one potential trading parties, you have to redo your trade offer after you select another party. (Hint: select all the trading parties first)
3) Sometimes while the person is listed as a potential trading party appears not to be accepting trades or has a communication channel established. In those instances you can apparently click on the send button but nothing happens. This can be exceptionally annoying when it is a high level pin and limited trade options.
4) Finally it is unclear if the trade request went to Email or the in house "message" system. So you have to check both for trade requests.

The compare pins / trade pins / wants function does work well. And I can see several advantages to it.
But the communication and trade set up is a touch convoluted and complex and could benefit from a little more fine tuning.

^ This has happened to me... Three times now? (email that you have a request but nothing there) So confusing! I tried just directly emailing back the 1st and 2nd but no responses. Third one I just emailed yesterday, so hopefully third time is the charm!

I also have the problem that none of the links in people's profiles to their PinPics site work any more so I also have to type them in PinPics manually? Do you guys also have that?
 
I do not like the trade assistant and refuse to use it. I am sending my requests via message. Another thing that bothers me is that if someone responds to me and I answer back, I get the blank white screen again and now I am no longer in Pinpics anymore. I have to go to my browser and open it up again. That is pretty bad.

I have sent out over 80 trade requests using the new Pinpics messaging. I have had three responses. I think it is safe to say that people are not using the new version much.
