Newbie could use some advice on LE pin releases :)

I'll be in WDW for the Dec. 6th release of, what is it, like a gajillion pins coming out that day? :drool: I have never been to any of the pin release events. How long in advance should I show up? What are the chances of getting more than one of the pins? I don't mean like hogging 10 of the BOG Opening Day pins or anything, but like one of each of the new ones coming out. Also, do we know yet where, they will be released? Will the New Fantasyland and restaurants ones be in DTD, or just in MK? Thank you so much in advance for any help you can give.

For the podm, I would imagine it wouldn't be as bad since it isn't a particular popular movie

According to the DisneyParks Blog yesterday all the Dec 6 MK pins will be released that night at CORONADO SPRINGS no pins will be released at the MK. The queue line starts to form at 4 :lol: (bet people will show far earlier..) with room open at 5-8. It is an 'unadvertised' Trading Night..

According to the Blog- Rest of the Merch will be first come first serve (tshirts/prints/etc)

I can see the nightmare beginning already...

This just sounds absolutely ridiculous to me... Sooo if you're in New Fantasy Land that day, you won't be able to get the "I Was There" pin... That makes sense... I'm so sad they are doing it this way.

Oh my gosh! I guess points to Disney for figuring out that the release would be a big deal and they had to do something to prepare for it. But at night, at Coronado Springs! I guess they didn't want a big line in the park somewhere, like for Epcot's 30th.

Oh well, I guess my Dad will be going to a park first thing in the morning for the PODM, and then maybe I can have my Mom go hang out at CS after her shift.
