It was definitely an error. The '20 per customer' thing is usually for open edition pins. I know there was an Olaf pin with a high edition size that was still limited edition and so was 2 per customer - eventually the price was reduced and the purchase limit changed to 20 per customer to clear remaining stock. Aside from instances like those, pins that are LE remain 2 per customer.

It must've been, hopefully they didn't actually allow those orders that exceeded the 2 pin limit to go through, much like how you can add it to your bag but not actually begin checkout.

That's what I'm hoping. When I ordered I let the guy know I'd already ordered 2 online but I was a collector, trying to keep them in the hands of collectors. He checked to make sure it was okay for me to have another 2 (put me on hold) and said it was okay. First time ordering more than 2 so was expecting to be told something like "oh another household member will have to order" or for it to sell out while doing the transaction. Fingers crossed all 4 arrive.

Yay! I'm glad you managed to get hold of one somehow! I agree, it would be ridiculous if they honour those orders. Hopefully her remaining stock make a return to the store once they've sorted out the current orders.

Up to 20. It'll be interesting (read as: blood-boilingly infuriating) if sellers on that​ site have about 10-20 of these pins to sell. :\
 
I think the buying limit was a misstake and that they will probably cancel 18 of the 20 pins on people orders so they might reappear in the site when they do.

Still think its strange that it was up as long as it was. It only needs 15 people to buy 20 each for the 300 to be gone!

I bought 2, didn't thing it would be fair to buy more. I hope I get them, got the confirmation and everything looks fine so far.
 
Just checked on my order history and found this note attached to the order:

"At present we can not verify the status of your order . The information below shows details of your order on { 0} , you may have not updated the data from this date. Please come back later to see the current status of your order or contact our service client if you need help."

Perhaps this means that they're going to review the orders already placed?
 

I just checked my open tab with the Rapunzel pin up, and as 2 were already in my bag, the page said my purchase limit was '0'. They must have quickly noticed their error, or it got fixed once I'd called about it. So hopefully not as many people were able to grab excessive amounts as originally thought.

I don't mind if my order gets cut in half, so long as those other 2 goes to collectors. ^^

I hope I get my 2 pins. I will trade both so if anyone really need one for their collection let me know. Im going to USA in about a month and will attend a pin trading meet in Orlando. So excited. I bought these and hope they will trade well there. Its so hard for me to get new traders sitting here in Sweden with no other way of buying pins than the ones that are released on the website, and Im in desperate need of new traders. But of course my friends here comes first. <3

You should see how the US store works in comparison. You guys are blessed. We're lucky if something shows up 45 minutes after it was supposed to be released at 3 AM EST. And then for someone to have found the link, while it's still invisible for everyone else. I really envy you guys with the 8 AM live links.

Edit: and they announce things ahead of time. I once stayed up every Monday thinking a pin set was going to come out, only for it to be released on a Thursday.

It likely sold out. This was a very popular pin release and if you wanted to order it, doing so the moment it's released via online or phone would have been your best bet. As it was a LE300 across UK and Europe (so I'm guessing 50 in each online store?) there is next to no chance of it coming back in stock.
