Like I said, I don't have a pin trading bag (they're kind of expensive) and I'm going to DLR tomorrow.
I was wondering if any of you guys had any ideas as to what is the best (and most careful) way to take and display my pins to other traders. Right now I just have them on a pin board.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

Binders. Put the pins in baseball card sleeve holders and put them in binders. :-)

There are 9 pockets in a sleeve.

Yeah, what she said. Although, if you don't have your backing cards anymore (or they never had cards to begin with), you can get sleeves with smaller (and more) pockets. You might have to call around to your local collectible stores to see if they carry them, or order them online. They're usually used for slides or stamps.

Otherwise, the 9-card baseball sleeves definitely work- just pop the pins on card stock (business cards, paint cards from Lowe's, whatever), then pop them in binders. The office supply stores have ones that zip up and have straps for carrying them.
 
Or do What I did for awhile. Display them along with your traders. Pick a few pins to display on your lanyard (I can fit eight or nine depending on size.) and do a pattern of Trader, Keepr, Trader, Keeper Etc. If you have locking backs use them. If not buy some. Theyre around eight dollars but worth it.
 
If you're using binders and trading card sleeves, and you have pins without orig backer cards, put your pins on playing cards (you can usually buy several packs from a pound store) and attach your pins to them then through the plastic and it will keep your binder sleeves upright and the cards display your pins really nicely. Thats what I did before I got a pin bag <3!
 
I use foam paper from Michael's inside a 3-ring binder. You can buy an eyelet clamp thing-a-ma-jig at Walmart for like $12 to stamp metal rings. My office has like 2000 empty binders now that we live in the digital age. I used to keep trader lanyards in a gallon size ziplock bag for ease of storing in my backpack but the binder is more trade-friendly.
 
I have been wondering the same thing what people like to use the best to display their pins. I am still very new to everything.

I found some binders at Staples the Martha Stewart new line. They have some nice sleeves that come in a couple different sizes for the pockets. There is one that has 3 big long pockets that fit jumbo pins. The smaller size one has 9 pocket one is bigger than the baseball card sleeves so I find them to be more useful. Also, they have sleeves for standard binder and then the same sleeves for a smaller more compact binder. I have made the smaller binder for certain pin groups (smallworld mystery pins, Alice mystery pins, etc.)
Also, if you get Martha Stewart magazine there is a 40% coupon in there for buying one item from the new office line at Staples.

I also use this style of improvised pin book for display and trading.

You can buy these foam pages cheaply at most art/hobby shops. Then, you can trim to size for an expandable plastic page holder. A few sheets of heavy stock paper on the back side provides stability and helps keep pin backs from pressing on the next sheet down.

Another trick with this style of improvisation is to use a D-ring style or straight post style binder. They hold more pages than the standard O-ring binders and can help keep the rings from pressing on pins that are too close to the edge.

Then go ahead and load 'em up. For trading you can just place pins where they fit. This works well for just common traders or hidden Mickey's. Higher level LE pins or those with backings should be placed in Baseball card style pages for trade.
 
I use a mix of pinbags (ebay is a good place to find either cheap ones or good ones at a reasonable price). I also use binders for some. And some I put on foam sheets from Michaels. I do that particularly if I am planning to meet someone who has an interest in certain pins. Like I have a friend who likes Aerial. I will put all my Aerial traders on a foam sheet for her. I can then roll it up and safely carry in a backpack.
