I'm laughing so hard at the Terrible, Horrible, Very Bad pins. This is only the second time I've seen them do a pin set themed to the marquee (the first time being Bears). That Beast pin is amazing, one of my favorite single moments from the movie. Tinkerbell looks too similar to previous pins, though.

I'll be out of town for the pin event, and I don't care enough about Nightmare to want to spend the money to go even if I were in town, but it looks like there are some really good pins for NBC collectors.

And I was hopeful that the Gold Coin series was going to be released in October, shucks. Ah well, less for me to worry about missing while I'm gone.

African cats, chimpanzee and a few other movies were themed too C:

Hahaha, at least they have a sense of humor!

You know, I don't collect all of TNBC, but I just realized how much I like pumpkin-headed Jack! Still, don't think I will be buying anything this month. (Which is good, I really need to save this month anyway...)

I completely agree with you ... we don't collect NBC but Pumpkin head jack is so cool!

I know this sounds kind of rude, but I hope the event isn't that successful.. it's a minimum of $75 just to trade with people, or just for the OPPORTUNITY to purchase pins. It just rubs me the wrong way I guess. Sorry if that was rude to say.

Aside from the ‘Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas’ in Disneyland trading event semi-recently... Pin Trading Nights are free, the last pin trading event they hosted (and the many before that) weren't mandatory pay(even complimentary breakfast?!)....

I think that's why I'm most bugged about it is because DSSH didn't used to charge like this and I hope they don't continue to.

I think DSSH is going the way the Disney parks are and charging for pin events. This event is at a hotel as I recall so it's going to cost them money to rent the ballroom for the event.

the only pins I like are the non NBc ones

Oh, I was going by the NBC one, princess tea time in Paris, the gala and destination d. Unless those are different events and the trading is separate. Still relatively new to the pin world.

Yeah, it's across the street at the Roosevelt Hotel, so they are paying money for it... I think this is actually a side-effect of the popularity of the DSSH events. They simply can't cram everyone in the store/theater lobby any more, they need a bigger space. And it also frees them up to do it at reasonable times too, if it was held at the theater, it would have to be a 4am event that ends by 8 or 9am so they can get the theater ready for movies.

But since they have to rent space, we have to help pay for that...

Yup. Lots of people asking for sponsorships on Facebook, wow!

Hi: I wondered about the Quality control issues myself, but another question on the same subjuct is:
If the Pumkin King package is limited to only 100 ticets sold & the Gold Marquee is 125, what happens to the other 25 marquees, are they having 25 extras for the issues of quality control??? Just a thought.
Anyone ask DSF yet???
