I think they're one of those groups that have their kids, friends, cousins, etc. with them =/ and they go to as many locations as possible.
 
I just received and email saying that they could not find any order with my name or email address...I forwarded my email order confirmation. Will see how that goes!
 
I'm in the same boat. Ordered late Oct at $49.99x2. Emailed them early in the week about picking a scene, they said they were taking pics. Now my order is gone. Emailed them again yesterday about where my order went and am waiting to hear back.
 
I gave up my 2 pins as well. But if your order goes through, most likely you will end up with Beast only anyway. I think the fact that some of you got your orders cancelled is a blessing in this case. Prices are coming down on Ebay and you should be able to get better scenes for your hard earned $$.
 
Ok I waited posting this until I heard back about my order. No big deal since I did get my pins from DL (they were a backup in case I failed). But for a business that sells Disney items for a living I'm not buying their response email. No harm no foul, but lesson learned that they cant be counted on.



They did post on their facebook page saying that they had around 48 pins to get on Thanksgiving (they took down the post quickly after - guessing they got to WDW and saw how crazy it was and didnt want how many preorders they had out there).

I paid for 2 at $49.99 in Oct. I emailed them earlier in the week about where my order stood. They emailed me back saying they were taking pics of the scenes and will get back to me. I just checked after reading this thread and my order was deleted. No email. No call. No explanation. I emailed them yesterday to see why my order no longer appears. Nothing. I emailed again with my order information. I got the cut and paste email detailing the horror that we at DL deal with most releases. Not really buying it. Makes me mad when they have so many rules governing cancellations/restocking/refunds (You need to send a FAX to cancel... really?) etc... and they suffer no consequence for cancelling orders that were placed months before the ones that are being filled (at double the price). It is a business, as people pointed out, but with these kind of practices they shouldn't be in business for long. I mean, how can you make people jump through hoops to cancel an order and go about cancelling lower priced orders without any notification whatsoever. While I did get my pins at DL, this was my safety blanket in case I failed. I'd love to hear if what they were claiming at WDW really happened. Its funny when they blamed most of the problem on ebay sellers when they are kinda in the same boat (except they cant be held accountable).

As far as the OP's question. I would of fought them a little more since they were baiting and switching you. The email they sent out hit all the right notes, but as someone that has been to many pin releases, I can spot some of half truths between the lines. They are no better than an ebay seller but belittled those that did sell on ebay. They sell at the same ebay price levels (if not higher) and dont have to pay ebay fees nor suffer from feedback.
 
You are right...they are not any better then any other ebay seller. And some of their prices are WAY higher then eBay for sure. You are correct in naming the store in your post.

He told me on the phone that they were only able to obtain 20 pins. I was 2 behind them in the contemporary line in the morning. I didnt speak to them, but I do know that they were not able to get 2 per person at the hotel in the morning because they ran out with them at the counter. The only reason why I didn't create more of a stink about it was because I was not anticipating this issue and I had JUST placed an order for more PODM's and they had their hands in over $100 more of my money from that additional order. Otherwise, I would have raised some hell. I will not patronize their business, and believe me, I had my eye on a lot more of their PODM's that I will just have to find elsewhere.

You and I had the same "safety net" approch to this. I figured it would be a CRAZY release....so I wasn't sure if I would be able to get my hands on any of them, and I need 3.

Lesson learned.
