Hey everyone,
I was just curious and maybe this has been talked about other places. Are old Marvel pins now considered tradeable within the Disney pin groups? Like old X-men stuff is more what I'm thinking but even spiderman.

Are these pins that Pinpics is wanting to be archived as well even though it was before being owned by Disney?

Any thoughts are much appreciated!

I would assume that they don't have a © Disney on the back so they're probably not acceptable in the parks .
Also Disney doesn't have the rights to X-Men . I know they have Marvel and X-Men are Marvel but they weren't part of the package .

Sorry should have read a bit better , within groups not parks , I'd suggest if you were thinking of trading them here it would have to be as Other , not pins . As for PinPics you could always try submitting one . Everything goes through a MOD anyways so if they don't want them included it won't be added .

Disney does have the rights to X-Men. What you are thinking about is the film rights. The film rights to X-Men and Fantastic Four are at Fox. Disney also does not have the theme park rights to the characters that are represented in Islands of Adventure. Those characters cannot appear in WDW. However, they could appear in Disneyland.

ah good okay I thought that was right but then I started doubting what I had heard before. Thanks for clearing that up n_n

@Wintersorcerer:
As for pinpics only being for Disney pins that's not technically correct it seems, at least by looking at the pins listed already in the system. There are many that don't have the (c) Disney on them and they are still up on the site. Maybe the Pinpics mod can clear this up for us though?
