Paris Half pins sold out

Ugh. Looks like Paris is going to be like Darkside merchandise wise. All the pins but one are already sold out. And the scalpers are already on eBay. All I wanted were the two medal replica pins. I hope the scalpers are happy with their ill gotten gains.

This used to happen with the pins for the WDW races, however they started making a lot more pins for them and it hasn't been a problem ever since. If you're running in the races this weekend, break a leg! (I mean that figuratively for those not familiar with the expression)

I got there on Friday around noon and all the pins were already gone, except for one OE. I was also very sad about it. A friend who was there on Thursday said the LE400 one sold out in a matter of hours - there was a huge line of people lining up to purchase the merchandise...

What makes these marathon pins so popular?

Well with this race there were 12000 runners and 600 pins. Even if they did LE 3000 it would have been better. Also, this race was an inaugural race and challenge, hence I wanted the mini medal pins (I didn't do the 5k but would have loved to have the 5k Remy pin). I think they under estimated the populRity of these pins, same as Darkside's pins.
