I bought a Peter Pan window to the magic off of eBay, and the one I got says AP... But the listing never mentioned it, nor is there a listing for one on pinpics... Think it's legit?

Was it a US seller? I think I remember a topic from last Dec that there were unauthorized versions floating around from sellers in China (they were marked PP I think though). Search the forums and you should find the topic.

I have seen PP versions of this pin being sold from an Ebay seller in China starting on 12/18 of last year and this was before the release.

He is still selling PP Peter Pan pins on Ebay, his last sale was on 04/23. I do not know about AP pins though.

the seller has some pins that look like they could def be scrappers, and some that look like they are probably NOT scrappers, and no more of this pin.

This is definitely an AP pin. I bought it when it came out, and it actually is a big deal, since they only made a thousand of them, and were only available to AP holders for purchase. Of all the pins I have, that one got the most attention when I'd trade with other people at the park. Lost it at the park last month. Stupid rubber pin backs :(

Just to be clear:

AP = Artist Proof
PP = Pre Production

AP is not to be confused with Annual Passholder. Artist Proof pins are just that. A very limited batch of pins, outside the production run, that are made to show the artist what the pin will look like, before they approve the final run. You generally cannot purchase Artist Proofs, but they have been known to show up on CM lanyards for trade only.

As for the PP, pre production, pins, those are probably a little on the sketchier side as they are not very common outside the factory and rarely go beyond those doors.

I now have one of these too. Like yours, it looks exactly like the authentic pins bought at the parks, but with the AP stamp. Mine is actually better quality then my "keeper" Peter WttM that I have right now.

I spoke with a few folks who would know and they said that the peter pan WttM AP's that arrived before market are legit. Most likely, someone snuck them out the side door....

Hold onto your AP. consider it a lucky find and enjoy it. AP's do not have backer cards, and there are likely only about 15-20? give or take, of these pins...
