At first, I just wanna say that I'm a real noob at pin trading, even if I love it very much.
I recently fell in love with PODM pins, and I want one (anything except from these Mickey an Pluto movie) but prices are really high (nothing under 40 on eBay), and I'm not sure I wanna pay that high for a single pin. (I know, there is pins a LOT more expensive than that, but still, it appears high for a little piece of metal, at least to me). I can't trade for it, since I collect more the pins I love and less the limited edition and stuff (I have only one limited edition of a 1000, but it's 2011 spring break, do not one everybody is looking for...). So, my question is: do you think the prices will go down after a while, or they will get bigger since these pins sells will be rarer?

Thank you :)

I think the prices will most likely go up for the PODM pins. A LOT of people love these pins, and they are selling at the high prices. Some people are selling their pins in the "sales" section of the forum if you want to check that out, the prices will usually be lower than ebay. :) Good luck, and I hope you get the pins you want!

P.s. Welcome to the forum! If you need any help please feel free to PM me!

Also, you should try to add the pins you have for trade to your list on pin pics, so we know what you have! :)

Here is how you would do that...

First, make sure you are logged onto your pinpics account! To search for a pin go to the pinpics gallery, and click "search" (here) then press the "continue" button. Once you've gotten onto the next page, you scroll all the way to the bottom and type into the search bar whatever pin you are looking for... for example... you said you had a 2011 spring break pin. You would type in "2011 spring"

After pressing "browse!" you should see a page with a lot of images of pins, if you see the one you have click it! :) It will look like this:

Pin 83074: First Day of Spring 2011 - Mickey and Minnie (is this your pin?) once you are on a page with a pin, (and you have confirmed you have this exact pin by reading the description) scroll down to the bottom and you will see a list of selections.

Choose the ones that work best for you... If you want to add the pin to your collection (not for trade) click "Add to owns list"
If you want to trade this pin in the future click "add to trades list"

If you do not have the pin you are looking at, but you would like it click the "Add to wants list" by clicking "Add to wants" people can see what pins you would be willing to trade for, so you are more likely to get more requests.

There are two other links...

These links will show you the possible trades you can make to get or to trade the pin in question. :)

I hope this helps!

Thanks you really much. I'm sorry to hear that prices will go up, but that's what I thought. I'll go check what others are selling (even if it's a little harder for trading and shipping since I don't leave in USA). And I'll try to put my pins on PinPics, thanks for the links :)

Hey! Welcome to the forum! :)
I honestly agree with Jenna, as scenes start to sell off prices will go higher because there will be less of them on the market, such as Snow White (Jan 2011 edition) people are trying to get 100's of $$$$$$ for those! I'd get them while they are relatively 'cheap'...

If you have any questions about PODMs you should ask Goofy_Moe. He's a member on here and he's the DPF resident PODM expert, he lives for these pins
