My wife bought a bunch of the hex-head locks for some of her pins. Fortunately she hasn't used them.

I remember reading somewhere that there are BETTER backs for pins. Maybe I'm not using the right terminology, but I can't find info on this anywhere, any help?

In my experience the best kind are the autolocking tie pin backings.
I have gotten over 100 from ebay seller "disneypatriot" and havent had an issue with a single one.
They are small, easy to use, no tools needed, and hold really well

The best back is the original mickey rubber back and then you force the pin post throught the thickest part of the rubber and make a new hole. Then don't take it off and on. If you leave it, they will last and hold tight. I have done that for years and never lost a pin.

When I need to be super safe wearing pins I use the small backs that look like tiny top hats. They are easy to get off and on yet have NEVER fallen off without being removed, don't damage the post and are fairly inexpensive to buy. By far my favorite backs. After spending a fortune on pins you don't want to risk a rubber back falling or being pulled off.

Good luck!
