I will attend the NBC pin trading event in a little over three weeks. I am not sure what to bring.

I have a lot of LE traders (well a lot for me) in binders and I am not sure if I should bring several binders, pin books, boxes or a combo. I use card sleeves and photo sleeves to hold my pins.

Also How does everyone determine which LE traders are left at home? Should I even bother bringing a LE 50 or 100?

any other advice is appreciated!

I've never done a dlr event (also my first) but bringing a variety of everything.. I am planning to print off a pic of my high end traders and keep the actuals safe from any sticky fingers...
 
It depends. Are you going to the event alone or with someone? If you're going alone, bring as much as you can carry comfortably - unless you plan on sitting at a table for most of the event and can keep an eye on everything you bring. If you're going with someone, then you guys can take turns watching the stuff while making rounds with the other tables and boards.

It's always good to bring variety. Unless you have PODMs and worry about the heat, if you want to bring more, you can - and you can leave the binders/pins in the car until you need them (if that makes sense). I always worry if I don't bring something, I may find something in someone's binder that I want (that's a grail or hard-to-get) and I won't have grail-level traders with me to offer. That is, bring 1 or 2 bags and maybe a backpack of your variety of traders. If you find something like your grail and they want nothing that you have, you always have the option of going back to the car and getting it.
 
Why not start a Trading thread here, reaching out to other event attendees, and try and set up some tentative pre-trades?
 
Do people bother bringing "regular" pins/traders to trade with other guests? Sadly I only have 1 le to bring to trade with me and all of my others are older pins or open editions. :/ During the event itself I plan on only trading with the boards but it would be nice to trade with other guests on the first registration day....

Hi! My boyfriend and I will be there too. I agree, just bring what is comfortable for you to carry and also try to set up some trades before hand. :)

Maybe if we set up a pre-trade post we can also get a list of who is going and get to meet each other :).

I think I am going to bring a combination of pins.

Krys10Webb if you are going to Disneyland or DCA you might find some LE pins on lanyards. In the past I found a Disney Auctions pin on a cast lanyard as well as a uncle scrooge gwp LE 1000 pin (well it wasn't a gwp but a gift for opening an account). Either way you never know what you will find.
 
I'll be there so to everyone going... bring your LE Villain pins!!! :D

Also, I want to try and complete a set of the mystery boxes (8 revealed pins + 8 chasers) so if you also want to try and complete a set too, let's meet up and help each other out. This applies to anyone who's looking to complete a mystery box set. :)

I'll be there early on Friday and I'll be wearing a Villain or Maleficent lanyard and will have a couple of David's (Docfish) buttons on... see y'all there!
