I'm looking for any information on a pin that has the last pic of Mickey and Walt at Disneyland. The pic was taken by Renie Bardeau the last time Walt was at the park. The pic is said to be just a lucky shot as was his famous footsteps pic. The fire truck pic was number 12 on a roll of 12. After taking 11 shots the shoot was over but Walt said why not get one more. That last pic is one of the most famous pics ever taken of Walt. It was made into a square pin. Gold back and edges with black and white photo on the front. Any info would be nice. It was a gift from a cm and I was told it's hard to come by. I can't even find out that it was ever made. Lol

Thank you. Li said she will do it in a little bit. Will be neat to see if any one has this or knows about it. The pin was a gift from a cm that said it was hard to get. But we will see.

Found this on an ebay description. ..

This pin is awarded to cast members who "earn their ears," (pass their review). It is a photograph of Mickey Mouse and Walt in sepia tone and comes on a card which reads, "It takes people to make the dream a reality." -Walt Disney "Congratulations! You have earned your ears!" The review period is different depending on the department. For instance, in Stores, it's 120 days, in Custodial, it's only 40 days. The pin is a square with 3cm sides. It says Disney China on the back.

Wow. Nice info. It makes the gift that much more special to know how he got it. My old friend was one of the true good CMs. I wish he was still there. He was a guide at city hall. Those guys make dreams come true.

From a cast member. We were just having a conversation and kind of bonded. I would go over to the area he worked and say hi at times.

They can actually re-earn the pin when they move location in the park and pass everything again. But it's still only cast members that can earn them

Ok. That's cool. My friend may have had more than one. His wife was a cm also and he worked at the ranch before moving to city hall. The real Grail pin has to be the large D guide pin. I know he was one of a few CMs that got to sit in Walts chair as the put the pin on him for the first time. Crazy cool !!!
