Pin trading at DLR... Update
Unfortunately, in my years of pin trading, I've encountered CM indifference about this issue, even when I (nicely--always nicely) tell the CM that it's a fake and show and explain to them exactly how they can tell it's a fake. They say oh, okay or oh, really? and are polite--and put the pin back on their lanyard. While I'm still standing there....yea every time i find a fake on a CM they have never had a issue removing
them and replacement them...

So, sorry to be cynical, but I'm not holding my breath about CMs being so knowledgeable and/or diligent about not accepting or removing scrappers. I also agree with what Geoff wrote above.
My $.02...
Jess, Dan and I actually saw something like this a week or two ago. There was a cast member (custodial - go figure) that stood in the pin trading area for several hours at teh' ho pointing out fakes in people's books and during trades. I was all gung ho about it until Dan brought up a very valid point. He went and traded for a fake on purpose from another cast member, then went up to this pin policewoman as it were, and asked to trade it to her for one of her pins (she was wearing a lanyard). She looked at Dan's pin and said, "no, I can't, this pin is fake." To which Dan replied "But I just got it from that cast member over there. Are you telling me that I just got ripped off by a Disney employee who took my real pin and gave me a fake one, and on top of that I can't even trade it back to get a real one?" He explained that it can't go one way.
Disney can't sit there and point out fakes in the park and humiliate or otherwise embarrass guests before they start doing something proactive on THEIR end. If they have to take a class and do all this stuff to "help us", they need to start being actually fair on their end and stop putting fakes on lanyards. I have been in the park at 7 AM and have seen lanyards that are brand new, no trades yet off them that day, full of fakes. If they really want to do us a favor, take the fakes out of circulation and stop giving them to the unsuspecting and to children! Heck, if they need someone to hire whose sole job is to sit there and pick out and toss the fakes every night between closing and opening, I'd take the job. All they gotta do is ask.
<climbs down from soap box>
Wow, I quess that is good news. We are coming for Sci-Fi and were wondering if there are a lot of traders on sundays. Will we be hasled if we bring our books in to the park too trade?
