Pin Trading karma points
I'm at Disneyland to run the half marathon. A couple of young brothers (probably 8 and 10) approached me and asked if I trade the pins I have displayed on my ballcap and backpack. I said "yes" and pulled two small, but fully-stuffed pin bags from my backpack.
They had a blast thumbing through the pages. They ended up taking a half dozen or more nice rack pins from my books, and I took scrapper Hidden Mickeys off of their lanyards in return.
An onlooker asked about the pin trading thing, and I discussed pin trading with them. At the end of our conversation I zapped a pin to them. They were thrilled!
Then came the highlight of my pin-trading day. A Cast Member on his lunch break approached my wife and I. He was infatuated with the large Wendy Gell Mickey Mouse brooch I had pinned onto my backpack. We spent a majority of his lunch break talking Disney pins.
At the end of the conversation, he said that his two sisters were getting tired of going with him to Mickeys of Glendale on Mondays to get the new WDI pin releases. And then he offered his contact info, friended me on Facebook, and told us to contact him to join him at Mickeys of Glendale when his sisters aren't with him!
Was I receiving some good karmic Disney pin payback?
