I just noticed today that the PinPics links for wants, trades, and matches are missing under everybody's avatars.

What I've been doing: The link for everybody's "owns" are still present. So, I open (old) PinPics, and paste their ID and my ID into the matches on PinPics.

Kind of a pain in the

, but what else can we do? Any thoughts or suggestions from others?

I just noticed that if you go to a member's profile page and click on the links under their profile picture, you still can see their wants. But comparsion links seem to be gone for now.

No, the admins finally got around to removing the links like they were told to in August.

Seems the admins here have more important things to do than run the site.

Figure out what your links will be for the new PP site, and put them in your sig. Here's how:

On the new system, everyone has a User ID # (UID), and that's what is used by the system for searches. To find your user ID, just do a member search for your user name, and then click on your name. The web URL should be something like this:
http://www.pinpics.com/member.php?uid=33211
That's a search for me, so 33211 is my UID.

The number after the 'uid=' is your User ID on the new site. Place that number in place of the XXXXX on these links:
To see all your traders:
http://www.pinpics.com/member.php?t=t&uid=XXXXX

To see all your wants:
http://www.pinpics.com/member.php?t=w&uid=XXXXX

To see what you have on your trade list that matches the user that is clicking on the link's wants:
http://www.pinpics.com/member.php?t=ct&uid=XXXXX

To see what you have on your wants list that matches the user that is clicking on the link's traders:
http://www.pinpics.com/member.php?t=cw&uid=XXXXX

Whoever is clicking on the links has to be logged into PinPics for this to work (if not, it will ask you to log in), but I suspect that's going to be a requirement in the future anyway.

As an example, here are my links:

My traders:
http://www.pinpics.com/member.php?t=t&uid=33211
My wants:
http://www.pinpics.com/member.php?t=w&uid=33211
Your matches to my wants:
http://www.pinpics.com/member.php?t=ct&uid=33211
Your matches to my trades:
http://www.pinpics.com/member.php?t=cw&uid=33211

(I might have those last two flipped... But I think that's right.)

I used those functions a lot. You can find that info on the new site but what bothers me is, I have a hard time searching for members on the new version. Another bad thing is that the forum user name and pinpics user name may not be the same. Jumping back and forth between both sites will be cumbersome.

Well, on the main page of the new site where it says 'Search', there's a pull-down list with Members on it... The PinPics usernames are the same between both pinpics sites, and most users here have that name (their PinPics ID) under their avatar image. If they don't, you still wouldn't have been able to find it on the old site...

You could also create the links that used to be here on this site and put those in your sig if you want... The point is that DPF was told (by PinPics) to remove the links from the site because they "think it will confuse new people into thinking DPF is affiliated with PP" (i.e., they don't want the competition)... So if you want the links, you have to do it yourself now.
