I am relatively new to pin trading/collecting, and just started collecting PODM pins (I have 2 so far). How would all you veterans store/display these pins? What kind of things can damage them?

Thanks for the help!

The best to keep them safe is in a dark cool spot, sunlight and heat can damage them.
Maybe someone else can help better but I Always kept mine wrapped in bubblewrap in a cool dark place :)

I collect them too I only have 1 podm, Aladdin. At the moment the pin is packed in bubblewrap in a drawer of my desk where I keep all of my pins.

I only have 1 Lion King one and its tucked away in my pin bag.

From what ive seen if you have it in direct sunlight the cell will fade. And also ive seen (I think from on this forum once before?) that they have had bubbling to the cell too because of the strong sunlight

I've got mine in a shadowbox on a wall devoid of direct sunlight.

Most people store their extras (or even their own collection) in plastic storage containers, like the ones found at Michael's (I'm not sure if JoAnn's has something similar). The closest thing I could find on the website to illustrate is here: http://www.michaels.com/iris-case-supply-storage/39861,default,pd.html?cgid=projects-kidsteachers (the plastic containers in the picture are holding "coloring", "paper", and "art"), but basically at Michael's, they sell for about $1.50-$2.50 each but they are also sold in a case of 16, with a bigger case with slots to hold all 16 (which is why some people here try to get 16 PODMs of their favorite movie, or a mix and match to fill up the 16 spots).

Hmm, I don't have any PODMs but I do want to start collecting them. I saw a user who posted their display which had LED lights behind the frames, I wonder if this fades them over time?

Vex we just got lights for ours use the low LED strips we got ours at a lighting store we have 2 frame sets one we had made the other we won at the event last year, no don't have pictures yet they are not put up on wall yet either
