Yes, we know a lot of times the pins on the boards are fake and scrappers. But sometimes we all find real ones. And occasionally we find very rare ones and LE pins. Post the most coolest real pin you have found on the boards at the parks! I have found Ariel and Eric pin from the Millennium Countdown Series. I have also found the Marie one with the red banner with her name. I have also found several very nice stitch pins, like the Christmas wreath one, the one with lilo and stitch with Santa outfits on in the snow, and one of stitch and lilo hugging (sorry for no pictures, haven't figured that out yet on here). What your amazing pin find?

I saw the Mulan Princesses and Their Horses pin on a board at Chef Mickey's.

I didn't pick it up because I already have that one. It didn't even occur to me to grab it as a trader. Then once we got home and I was organizing my pins, I had a "What was I thinking?!?" moment.

LOL. I have a few of those moments. I try my best to pick up anything I like or other people will like. You never know when a good trading opportunity will crop up. :)

Every once in awhile good things pop up. Usually from managers, with Artist Proofs on their lanyards. But I was shocked to find this one last summer, from a regular CM working the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom kiosk in Liberty Square. It's the current pin you get for making a $100 donation to the Wildlife Conservation Fund, and I saw that CM's can earn one themselves by collecting $100 donations in a shift (at least that's what one person said on their flikr picture). If I thought I would find one of these, I would have expected at Animal Kingdom or AKLodge, but not randomly in the Magic Kingdom. My husband collects the buttons, and somehow I'm managed most of the pins too.

It wasn't a board, but a few years back I was in the wildlife center in Animal Kingdom and I was talking with a cast member about how excited I was to be there, how much I loved Animal Kingdom, etc. She pulled this pin off of her uniform and gave it to me. She said that they only get one per day to give out and thought I would like it. I still have it in with my other not-for-a-collection-but-never-trade-or-sell pins.

I was new to trading when I found it on a lanyard.I ended up trading it away for another pin cannot remember what I traded for.

many many years ago, I found this on a CM lanyard:

and my friend found this one on the same trip:

She was a Stitch collector, so she kept hers. I traded mine for the Maleficent version :0)

Oooohhh good thread! I was right behind someone who traded an Olaf alphabet chaser for a Swedish Chef HM!! That was last month at DLR. Very happy to have lucked up behind that trader

http://www.pinpics.com/pinMT.php?pin=100974&keyw=tinker bell jiminy&pinsort=Newest&pinpage=50 .. I'm more like a4matte ... I'm a relative newbie, and I'm just happy to trade for a real authentic pin and not a scrapper on trips to WDW which I only get to make about once a year or less. I just returned from a trip with quite a number of trades, but as a Tink and Jiminy collector (along with almost everything else, ha!) I was particularly pleased to pick up this pin from a cast member : #100974, which features Jiminy and Tink on the same pin, Disney's Dream Kingdom. ...... As a newbie, I also just realized I don't know how to post a pinpic linked picture ... :(

Like most, since I don't live near a park and have very limited trading experience, I am just happy to find real authentic pins, including mystery or booster pins I need for my collection. Having only been twice since getting into pin trading, was super happy to find this around the time the heroes and villians mystery set came out on a cast member at out hotel. Not an LE, but I have yet to find an alice pin that's not an HM.
