I have never traded for a PTD pin from the DSF before. There are only a few I like. Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather along with Pascal and Chip.

What do people trade for these? I just have no clue of what would be considered a fair trade for a PTD pin.

Thanks!

I've never traded for a PTD pin, but I've traded away a few of them. There are some people that will give low ball offers because it is a "free" pin with ice cream (or is it s "free" ice cream with pin? hmmmm....), but usually I try to trade pins with the same LE number. Though I'll admit that I've traded mine for LE 1000's before. Some pins like the Pascal that sold out super fast, along with the Up characters that were given out earlier this year will require some good LE pins for them. If you see one for trade, make an offer! The worst they can say is "no" and that way you'll figure out the trade "worth" of the pin. I hope that made sense!

I recently started collecting some ptds. They vary in value a lot based on how old they are and what character and how cool it is. For the most part you can treat them like any LE300 (except the few 500s, including chip, which is still in the store I hear). I personally use historical ebay sales prices to guage value in trades. The pascal seems to still be going for about $45, so you'd want to trade a pin or combination of pins that sells for that much. The fairies are 20-25 each. Chip should be $10ish. So really the fact that it is a ptd is just a small factor in the value of it. Treat it like any other pin, research the value based on LE, trades/wants and recent price history, do the same for your traders, and trade informedly.
