Do you get 10% of pins with it? It says art and collectables are excluded. Are pins considered collectables?
Thanks Megan

I haven't ordered any personalized pins lately, but I seem to remember getting the DRVCMEMBER discount when ordering them. D23 is hit or miss...I just ordered the D23 Dalmatians pin and got the discount - other times, especially lately I've had to pay full price. Just remember that both in the parks and online you need to make a purchase of $50 or more to qualify.

I've never tried to get a discount when I've used my Visa Disney Rewards card to pay for pins purchased at Disney Shopping online, but I've used it to get 10% off pin purchases over $50 at DLR.

i thought you got it off of the pins from DS.com but i called to get it off my order and they said pins were excluded from it! I am just totally confused! lol

I just got 10% off my order with DS.com this week using DRVMEMBER & my Disney Visa card during the pin sale.

Look at that! Search worked! :)

Just wanted to get some opinions on whether or not the Disney Visa Rewards Card is worth getting or not. The discounts and some of the perks look attractive and it would come in handy for shopping at Disneyonline. But does it compliment a Premium Annual Pass? Or do the discounts not stack at Disneyland?

All experiences and comments would be appreciated. :)

The discounts do NOT stack. I wish they did. I asked. Also, I have had some success and some fails using it online for pins. I think it's something that they periodically turn on and send out emails about. But most of the time, no go.

From my experience: 10% off the website for purchases over $50, including pins
10% off at the parks, not inclduing food carts (there are special pins just for card holders)
No stacking of discounts, so the premium passholder has a better discount than the card

I've got a Disney Visa & a premium annual passport, and to be honest, I hardly ever use the Disney Visa. Never at Disneyland, that's for sure. The discounts don't stack, so the discount you get with your AP is a far better deal. They offer a free character photo in CA Adventure with the Disney Visa, but to be honest, I've never had time to use it (it's usually early in the morning, at an exclusive meet & greet spot). Other than that, there's not many other perks. I use it when I make purchases from the Disney Store (it works online & in stores), but I rarely ever hit the $50 worth of items that you need to use the discount because it excludes so many items (art, collectibles, DVDs, etc, etc, etc). Before you decide to sign up with it, I'd look at that. I only took the offer because they sent me a letter offering me a free $200 gift card if I signed up for the visa card. The rewards program on it is ok if you have no other rewards credit cards, but I have a Citi card that has a better rewards scheme and I know there's others out there that are even better than my Citi card. It's pretty lackluster overall, I think.

The only thing that's kind of nice, I guess, is you get 0% financing for six months on any vacation packages by Disney...but I've not taken advantage of that and I'd probably pay for my trip in advance rather than charging it to my card. So honestly, the card in general has been fairly useless to me, except for the sign up bonus, lol.

I only signed up because of the bonus! It paid for most of my premium pass that year!! :) I rarely use the card now because the perks just aren't that good.

Yep! That's what I used the bonus for, too. My husband got one as well, so it really helped out with our passes when renewal time came around!

And of course no discount at Disney Soda Fountain with the card or Premium Pass. I guess it depends on where you'd be using it to get the discount, if online, it gives you an extra discount if you spend $50, but if you were planning to use it at the park, the Premium Pass gives you a better discount. I have both & rarely use my card at the park, but always use my PP to get the discount.
