When did DSF start putting the ice cream cones design on the back of their pins? I have a few "older" pins (from 2008) from DSF that don't have the ice cream cones on the back.

Thanks!

Lets see if we can narrow it down.

Pin 64513: DSF - El Capitan Marquee - Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty 8/2008 does not have the ice cream cones.

Pin 66137: DSF - Stained Glass Dragons - Maleficent - 10/2008 does not have the ice cream cones.

Pin 73355: DSF - Pin Trader Delight GWP - Maleficent 9/2009 does have the cones.

Can anyone else narrow it down further?

Hi,
Sometime in 2009 sounds about right. I know they had the ice cream cone backs all this year and definitely last year.

Lets see if we can narrow it down.

Yes, I can narrow it a bit further:

[pinpics]66993[/pinpics]: DSF - A Bug's Life 10th Anniversary (Surprise Release) - 12/2008 - does not have the cones

[pinpics]70657[/pinpics]: DSF - Disney Pixar's 'Up' - Kevin - 6/2009 - does have them

They went to the new pattern when the pins were made from a different factory in China. There were two types. Ones that the comes went fully off the edge and one where there were boarders. It was about that time where the scrapper problem bloomed. DSF never had scrappers then this new factory came about and they now are in the same boat as DLR and WDW.

I wonder where DLRP and the rest of the world gets their pins from?
