Do you take apart the Vinylmation before painting and then reconstruct them when it's finished or paint it as is?

I've done other custom Vinyl figures (Kidrobot Mini Munny's) before, but not Vinylmations and I am going to be doing a 3 inch and a 9 inch one.

Thanks

Ive only done a few and I take the head/arms off so the paint fully covers those parts then I put them back on the model to sketch the design on so I know where what will go where and then pull apart to paint the head/arms/body seperately. Im making one right now that I think you will like

I'm intrigued to know what you're doing now, unless it is what I think it is. This 9 inch Vinyls going to be fun, since I'm going to have to take it apart to prime it with white, then put it back together to draw the design on, take it apart to paint, and then put it back together again, lets hope the limbs will come off without the use of a hairdryer
