I really can't believe that Disney would allow this event to go by without any special merchandise. Especially pins. Has anyone heard anything? I don't want to be stuck buying more overpriced/inflated priced Rapunzel pins on eBay.

Are they not even going to show the coronation on the Disney channel or anything? Big missed opportunity for Disney here. What's the point of even having a coronation, if no one will see it?
 
What's the point in announcing the inauguration if theres nothing really happening for it?
 
I will be going up to london with my nieace for the prade before the coronation, I'll make sure to keep an eye out for any signs of possible pins/merch and if there is any see what i can get my hands on!! ;-) I will also take loads of pictures!!!!!! but i am also suprised they havent advertised anything i was hopeing they might have a big screen up in the park so we can watch the coronation but will have to wait and see! (I am probaley just wishful thinking!! lol)

I agree. I would love to have a pin with Rapunzel's look at the end (even though that is not the image that they are using in the parks). I would love to have a villains pin set from Tangled and anything with Pascal.

Perhaps there will be a surprise release somewhere (DSF, WDW, DLR etc.). I guess we'll just have to keep our eyes open.

Rapunzel will be officially welcomed as the 10th Disney Princess at an invitation-only star studded celebration at Kensington Palace, London on 2 October 2011. On this pink letter day, Rapunzel will join the Disney Princess royal court, which includes Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas, Snow White and Tiana, along with VIPs, celebrities and little princesses from across the globe. Kensington Palace is the perfect location for this magical welcoming ceremony of Rapunzel as it has been home to many real life Princesses over the centuries.
Before the start of the event there will be a Disney Princess horse drawn carriage procession through Kensington Gardens which everyone can attend for free and without a ticket. This is the very first time a Disney procession will take place in central London so make sure the date is in your diary. The procession will start at 1pm at Queen’s Gate and finish at 1:30pm at Kensington Palace. The best place to stand to watch the Disney Princesses is along Mount Walk, near Kensington Palace.
