I just learned today, that a long time pin trader, Melody Tan passed away on December 22.

I've knew her and her husband Enrique for several years. I am shocked, to say the least. I don't know if she was ever on DPF, I want to say she was, at one time or another, but I can't be certain.

I'm fairly confident that their are members here who knew her.

I just looked up her obituary on Google. The viewing was today. Burial is to take place tomorrow. There is a go fund me page to help her husband and family with the expenses.

I had numerous interactions with Melody and Enrique over the years. Last time I saw her was at the Hilton for D23. Met up with them both and shared at table at Hilton Hotel Lounge. We broke bread together, talked and traded with others who were there.

She was always had a Bright Smile, and a warm Hello to offer. And Enrique was Always at her side.

I ask for prayers for Enrique. In August I learned that his mother has passed. And now this. He must be devastated, losing both his mother and now his best friend and wife in the same year.

Another bright light in the Disney Pin Community has gone out. She Will Be Missed.

Rest in Peace, Melody.

I used to see Melody at the pin releases and events whenever I had a chance to travel to southern California for pin trading. She would always come by and we would exchange greetings and I would ask if she was having any success trading or not. Always just nice and happy, nothing could bring her down.

May you rest in peace, Melody.
