Safely removing pin posts?
I've been searching DPF for about 20 minutes now using various keywords and can't find a good post describing how to remove a pin post from a pin. There are plenty of posts recommending various glues to use to put one back on! There are also posts that recommend removing them, but they don't really describe how.
I have Pin 76987 which is from a framed set where the pin posts were indeed cut very short because the frame itself is rather thin. The post is so short that a pin back can't hold it onto anything. The base of the pin post is still intact and securely adhered to the back.
What I'd like to do is carefully remove the entire pin post without damaging the pin, and replace it with a post from one of my scrappers. This way I can put it in my pin book. I have plenty of scrappers to experiment on, but I'd like to get input from people who have done the removal before. What's the best and safest way to it?
Thanks in advance for your advice!
