I won't be going. I'd barely make it to Anaheim by 8 after getting off work and sitting through Friday night traffic.

It would be worth it if they provided some refreshments or guaranteed trading for LEs or legit pins on pin boards. I'm not sure I'd go (even if timing worked out) if it was just an entry fee to a trade room.

I wonder what they are going to preview. I assume its going to be like the Florida one from last month with no new event pin or other merchandise for sale but they'll preview some upcoming pins.

Thanks for the info!

Not sure if I can go seeing as the Cindy event is this weekend and we're gonig to LAX on next Wednesday..i might be too tired to drive down there...but it might be nice to go for the preview!

I *might* be able to go. I have professional development training until 3pm. Do you need advanced tickets or just show up and pay $10? I'd be driving from Menifee.

EDIT: clicked the link. I will try to make it! The $10 isn't too bad and I'd love to go trade. Only worry is traffic and parking. I think I could make it by 5 though.

Holy late notice, Batman! If I were in CA, I wouldn't be able to call off work at this point even if I tried...

Hey! You're in Menifee? Oh wow, I'm in the Corona/Riverside area! Hmm, maybe if I can find more IE'ers, I can start up the quarterly trading events at Mi Tortilla in Corona, CA?

I won't be able to attend this PTN. I am going to the Cinderella event this weekend so I'll probably see the same people.

Plus, going to David's event in early May!

Wow! Small world! My mom lives in Menifee and I visit her every few weekends (I currently live in San Diego). I would totally go to quarterly trading events in the IE! I'd love to meet more pin traders. Super exited for Doc's party for that very reason, and hoping to meet some folks at Wondercon and PTN if I can go. I feel like IE is close enough to Disney we get a tast of all the pin stuff, but far enough it's hard to go to DSF and all the events. DSF is a huge production for me to go to from Menifee with traffic.

Don't I know it. The fastest I've ever gotten to DSF was on Black Friday with absolutely no traffic whatsoever and it still took me an hour. With traffic, it is at least 2-3 hours to get there

I went to WDW's first 2015 PTN (the recent one where they charged us $10). Well worth it, in my opinion. While there was no special pin to buy, it made the atmosphere much nicer and relaxed. People just traded and had a good time, from what I could see.

For the $10 we were provided with a huge, air conditioned room, plenty of tables/chairs, water with cups, a Mickey head Rice Krispie treat half dipped in chocolate. We did get to preview some pins and there were CMs there to answer any questions. Again, well worth it, as where else are we going to be provided all that for less than $10?

If anyone goes to DLR's PTN and has a good time, please thanks the CMs in charge. It will go a long way in making sure we continue to have a nice venue in which to trade, at the parks.

While free is great, I don't mind paying $10 for, as was stated, the space and time of the CMs. The experience sounds great regardless. And while I'd love an exclusive pin, sometimes that can charge the atmosphere and not in a good way. Now we can focus on fun and trading and meet ups! Plus I'll be extra excited if I get a Mickey Rice Krispie

I hope you get one as well It was a nice surprise.

It would have been fine with me even if we hadn't gotten the RK treat. All the other amenities I mentioned above, isn't free for Disney.

We were provided a space, CMs, ect for free in the past, but because a good sized group of pin traders can't behave themselves, we are now being charged.

I'll continue to go to WDW's PTNs, special pin or no pin, for the $10. As I have seen now that people, without the special pin, can behave themselves or they just stay home and the people who really just want to trade, go.

So I bought a ticket!! Question: where should I park? At Disney I imagine there is the $15 parking charge still? Is there somewhere else I could park for free or less? Or is it worth it to park at Disney? By any small chance is parking comped for guests of the event?

You can get 5 hours free parking at DTD if you get your ticket validated at one of the table-service restaurants. Without the validation it is only 3 hours free parking.

Thanks! I forgot about DTD parking. I hope they will have space left by the time I get there >.< I will probably arrive after the event starts since I'll be leaving Menifee around 3:40/4:00 and am anticipating traffic so I probably won't get there until 5:30/6:00. I will try to get out a bit early from my training but it's the first day so they might not let me.
