One tip, also, is that if you go to AMC and buy a concession item, they will also validate your parking (so you get 5 hours free)
 
So excited! I just ordered:

1) a new (well used, but new for me lol) medium pin bag in an older retired satchel style that will be great to carry my traders (I'm too nervous to bring my big main bag with my whole collection. I couldn't replace those pins if I lost it. Plus it's heavy!)

2) a Mickey luggage tag to put on my trader pin bag just in case I loose it and some kind soul wanted to return it

3) An adorable Ariel/Eric button for the chest strap on my bag

4) Trading cards from Vista Print that have my usernames for: DPF, IG, PTDB, and PinPics. I got 500 (250 extra were only $1.50) so I can include them in pinmail and give them to anyone I trade with/want to trade with if they want to contact me to trade again/later and write notes on

Thank you! I go to Comic Con and Wondercon so it's good practice. I can't take all the credit though. Someone on IG posted the trading card idea and I totally stole it. I figure since I won't be bringing all my pins, I can give them a card in case I have something at home to trade with them later

If you go on eBay you can get some adorable Disney luggage tags for around $6 shipped. I got the Mickey since it matches both of my pin bags, but there are tons of characters! (Stitch, BH6, Frozen, etc.) Some are from China though so I seriously question if they're authorized. As long as you are ok with that it's a great deal.

I know the odds of a return aren't great, but at least with a luggage tag I know they have the info if they tried to get it back to me

I'm also debating bringing my collapsible stool in car there are lines and no chairs for my mom. It's 2 pounds but is really stable and small. My mom has a bad back. I got it after too many years of sitting on the ground at Comic Con!

Weeeellllll poop. So, I was so prepared and unfortunately it just didn't go as planned! Ain't that the way it goes XD The cards I ordered and medium pin bag I bought got delayed and are still in their origin state so I doubt they will get here before I leave tomorrow afternoon to drive up to my mom's place. (Should have paid for that priority shipping!) And I have a few pin trades out I'd hoped to bring as traders that I also don't think will arrive by tomorrow afternoon.

I'm not too bummed about it I guess. I was on the fence about brining my big pin book with my entire collection just in case I found something special I would be willing to trade for out of my collection. The decision's just been made for me I guess! I'll just keep an eye on my bag. The luggage tag and Ariel button did arrive so I can still out those on it. And the other stuff should be here by Wondercon so I can bring the portable bag there.

It'll still be a great time and I'm really excited! Maybe it will be better I bring the big bag anyway, it sounds like some people bring luggage with multiple pin bags so maybe I would have felt I didn't bring enough. I primarily wanted the smaller bag for non-pin events like Cons to put pins in on the off chance I found them to buy at booths anyways.

I am thinking of printing out my PinPics Traders and Wants list though so I don't have to open my bag and flip through it as much if I'm at a busy area (I'm paranoid after hearing so many theft stories!)
 
I am so behind ! i havent sorted my pins, or put my pin bag together, or set up lanyards to wear. I am a mess ! heres to hoping i get some time to take care of all of this before friday morning !

Nah we all have last minute things I bet you'll get it all done! I thought I had my lanyard ready to go, but one of the pin posts broke off a pin! So now I need to go and get some glue and a new post to fix it. I'm already scared to wear the lanyard in case the locking backs fail, now I'm even more paranoid that the other posts will break off! These aren't regular Disney Pins where the posts are welded on. These are ABC released pins where the posts are just glued on. I'm going to triple check them becasue they are all the same age except the one newer release so if the glue failed on one.... Lol, lanyards stress me out!

I had a great time at PTN.

The room was perhaps 60% full, which made it easy to roam the room and kept the temperature in the room very pleasant.

I am afraid that I did not pay too much attention to the pin preview boards.

I made sure to thank the CMs at check-in time, for that is when I saw the senior ones I remember from other PTNs.

Looking forward to the next one.
 
Defnitely park in the DTD parking lot. The regular parking structure has gone up in price to $17!!! I paid that the other day and I was a little surprised at first (because I haven't been in two years) but then I thought about it and it made sense
