Today I was at Animal Kingdom with the family and I saw a "Piece of the Movie" pin for The Black Cauldron! This isn't listed on Pin Pics, eBay, or anywhere else! I really regret not buying it because I won't be going back to AK any time soon and I leave for home (Seattle) in a few days. I can tell you exactly where to buy it if anyone is interested, and if they can pick me up one as well and bring it to me at Grand Floridian, I will be forever grateful and pay you of course. I can just meet you out front of the hotel.

Sorry, I don't have a picture of it.

The kind of pin with the film cell..?
Are you sure it wasn't Sword in the Stone? (although I would be surprised if any of those are left)

Yep, I swear to god it was The Black Cauldron. I remember thinking "wow, that's a cool movie to have a film cell for". I asked my wife and she also says "yea, it was that movie".

If it would have been Sword in the Stone I would have bought it in a heartbeat, as I was "King of the Day" in Disneyland when I was a kid for pulling the sword from the stone, so I have a fond memory of that movie.

Here I am here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihI_vGG0ZQg

It's outside at the first pin shop on the left on Discovery Island. It was on the back side of the kiosk where you make your purchases... there was no Toy Story pin or any other "piece of the movie" pin next to it. There were a few other "limited" pins for sale as well, but nothing that I haven't seen elsewhere.

Ah I am really kicking myself right now. It will eventually turn up on eBay. The back did say "Limited to 2000" because I remember pulling the pin off to see how many were made before deciding if I should buy it or not.

I find this very unlikely. I do not believe there has ever been such an unannounced release like this. To my knowledge, they haven't even announced or previewed that there would be a pin in this series for this movie. I could maybe see an announced pin being released early but one that is not even announced. Also, the fact there is no pictures or at the very least, can not even describe the pin in any way at all (colors used, characters featured), ect. The fact that it has not been listed on pinpics with no information about the pin at all except for the title, the edition size and the price.

I do believe that it is the Sword in the Stone pin from last month. Some of the frames that I saw (and ones left behind and probably why it would still be left), feature random backgrounds that upon looking at just the frame it self, could be mistaken for the Black Cauldron.

Was this the pin you saw?

OK I have to eat crow here. I took time out of my day to go back to AK myself without the family to get the pin (I was really excited about it). Sure enough it was Sword in the Stone! AGH! My mistake everyone! I will remove the Black Cauldron from Pin Pics.
