Hello- Just asking...has anybody ever seen or heard of scrapper Jessica dressed as pins? I ask because I recently got a Jessica dressed as the queen of hearts. The pin looks good, has the right thickest, and color...but there appears to be a small dimple or slight color variation in one spot. It doesn't really feel like a dimple, but it looks like it. I know that not every pin is perfect, but I'm just wondering what people think or may know about it. Thanks

Yes there are fakes of this pin :'( and some of others from the series too... I've seen the fake Jessica as Hook in Person :( I think there is one of Jess as Alice too but I'm not Sure... I just Stay away from Buying Jess as from ebay and will only trade for them If the person is trustworthy :/ I just bites cause this whole thing has really plumeted the value of this beautiful set :(

You should post a High res Picture of the one you have for people to compare it to the ones they have...

Ugh...thanks for the replies...I bought on eBay from somebody with reallygood feedback. I sent a pm to the person who posted the warning thread.

Update. I bought from the same person that pin pal did ( the link hopemax put on this thread). I thought I got a great deal at $31, but I guess not. The seller also sold a Jessica as Alice at the same time that went for $90 something.

If I could get the Jessica as Alice for less than $40, I wouldn't care if it was a fake. :( I feel bad for people who are still paying $200+ for it though without being 100% sure if it's genuine.

I wonder if as an expansion to PinPics, we could get a line item showing Members Owning to complement the Members Trading / Members Wanting listing.

While it won't cut down on the counterfeits, it will make the easier to spot. When you have an LE150 and 200 people listed as owners, it's pretty clear that something is up. While it won't be perfect - not everyone lists on pin pics, it can help raise an alarm flag when someone is repeatedly selling the same LE pin over and over again.

Another tatic to be alert for is shill selling - when a pin doesn't go for what the seller wants and a "shill" buys it, gives it back to the seller (in return for the Ebay fee and cost) for them to try again saying pin just sold at $ XX.00 for next attempt. Or that sale fell through and now has one for "same" price or a dollar less.
