I'm going to the Haunted Mansion pin release this Thurs. Aug. 7th. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on which lot (DTD lot or Mickey & Friends) to park in that opens the earliest. I called the DLR info line and the cm told me that DTD's lot doesn't open until 8:00am & Mickey & Friends opens at 7:00am. Can anyone verify this for me, as the cm I spoke with didn't sound too sure on the info. I'm willing to get there as early as necessary, but I don't want to have to sit in my car for too long in a driving lane waiting to get into a lot. I realize they don't allow people to line up until 6:00am, but I'd like to at least get close to where the line will be formed ahead of time, so that I'm not trying to park at the same time Disney starts the line up. Any advice is much appreciated! How many of you all are going?
 
if its anything like the anna PTN pin you will either have to get dropped off or park a few blocks away and walk to DTD.

They dont allow people to line up until 6am. but people still line up earlier.
 
Thanks for the advice, but I don't think I want to take the chance parking in the dark around 4:00 or 5:00am in a neighborhood near DLR, then walk alone to Rainforest Cafe. I think I'll just get there around 6:30 or so, park in Mickey & Friends when they open at 7:00am, then walk on over. The only item I can see selling out immediately is the LE100 Key frame set and MAYBE the LE500 poster pin in the box. Otherwise the rest of the pins should be there. I doubt I'd buy the key set anyway at $369.00! And I can always get in the stand by line for the 1:00pm leftovers. How many of you are going to this release? And what are your plans for parking?
 
Contact their Twitter account @DisneylandToday. I think the CM you spoke to may have given you wrong information as 8am sounds awfully late for DTD's parking lot to be opening on a busy summer day especially since many of the DTD restaurants do serve breakfast. If it is indeed 8am you maybe also want to consider parking at the hotels. Have a nice breakfast and get your parking validated.

Well if you dont want any of the low LE Items that are only available at DTD then there is no need to worry about parking. both lots should open at 6am and you can just line up at the gate of either park.

Both parks open at 8am but DLR has extra magic hour at 7am.
 
I think I'm just going to get in the parking lot line for DTD around 5:30am on Magic Way, go park, then run on over to the line up by 6:00 at Rainforest Cafe. Seems a good a plan as any to me. Anyone else going to this release? Best of luck to you all!
 
I'm not going super early, I'm planning on getting in the park later in the morning to see if I can still get a Hatbox Ghost pin. Good luck to everyone else! The items look pretty amazing.
 
I wish I could go to this release. Those mystery boxes look like a lot of fun! I just love mystery boxes! Are there any LE chasers to the LR mystery set???
