Serial Number?

Does Disney put serial numbers on some of their pins? I noticed the new Little Mermaid booster set has serial numbers on all of their pins.

Should I have put this in the FAQ section? If so, can a mod move it?

Some pins do indead have serial numbers printed on them. Alot f times it's special pins from DSF or other places or events :3

Those numbers are more like a pin identifier - every pin has the same number. I know Disneystore.com and DSF pins has been using them for maybe a year.

LE Pins from DLRP have both the edition size and a hand stampled sequence number on the back (example 026 / 300).

I just got my Snow White Valiant and Villainous pin today and I looked at the back and it has a weird serial number on it (not like you had in your post). It is like a combination of 3 sets of 4 digits separated by a dashes. The code looks like:

XXXX-XXXX-X-XXXXX in white. I've seen it before in a photo of the back of an Aurora/Maleficent Valiant and Villainous pin? Is that normal?

Yes, that is the pin identification number I mentioned - all of the "Snow White Valiant and Villainous" probably have the same number printed on it. Most likely related to a design or manufacturing code.
