do i need to sigh up to go to the nightmare event on june 14 ,2014 or is open pin trading there is not a lot of info on the event :anxious::anxious::anxious::anxious::anxious::anxious::anxious:
I assume it will be the same sign up procedures we saw for the D23 expo. A pre-sale, then a general sale, then a last minute sale. There will also be a sign up for the pins being sold at the event.
As I recall, there was just a date announced when tickets went on sale. If you were in the first 500 or so that registered, you got an "early birdies" pin (very cute!)
Yeah, this will have a ticket that you'll need to purchase in order to attend the event and purchase the merchandise. I'm surprised we're getting two events (nightmare and haunted) but I'm not sure whether either are pin events or merchandise events like the tiki event this year. They will post dates soon about when we sign up. You'll buy tickets online and usually if you get in early enough you'll get an early bird pin on top of all the event gifts. If they have an rsp you'll sign up for those soon after buying tickets and then pick up the merchandise at the event. The event will most likely have pin boards and guest trading, and hopefully a silent auction!! I'm so excited we get two events, hopefully we'll get better turnout this year for the pin trading because the actual pin trading with other guests has been abysmal the past few years at dlr.
if it ends up being primarily a merchandise event, there probably won't be too many pin traders. At the Tiki Event this past summer, there were maybe 10 tables full of traders (with at least 20-40 left empty)?
Events most likely will be held at the Disneyland hotel convention center so park admission will not be required. just event tickets purchased online as previously mentioned. Event tickets for the tiki were $85 per person, plus any merchandise purchased. It will be $200 - $1500 out of pocket depending on what you buy, plus food and lodging(if staying at a hotel)
The Tiki Room event sign up went pretty well last time. You had to apply and sign up for what merchandise you wanted, but there was a ton to go around at the event. I'll keep my eyes peeled!
