Snapshots of lanyards & merchandise pin selections at WDW early December 2011

Hi All!

I was lucky enough to go to WDW earlier this month, and I took a few pictures to show everyone the average "selection" on cast lanyards & merch locations. If anyone would like a higher resolution of the pics, to look at close-up to see the pins in detail, send me a PM.

And where is that board? I would like to see it when I got to WDW.

I believe that board is at DTD? Am I right, chowdmouse? starry_solo, when will you be at WDW?

Hi starry_solo! Yes, that is the board at Disney's Pin Traders, in Downtown Disney. As far as boards, I try to check out the boards at Guest Services at all the parks and at the hotels (you have to ask when they are coming out; usually it is only for 30 minutes or so once a day). If you like going to see the hotels too, I would suggest finding out when he boards are out at the Contemporary/Floridian/Polynesian. These are the three hotels on the Monorail, and they put their pin boards out consecutively, 30 minutes apart, so you can hop on the Monorail and hit them one after another.

As far as pin selection, usually they are pretty picked over. But it also depends on what you are looking for. I was looking for the latest cast lanyards, and was usually able to find at least one pin on each board that I wanted. Since Disney has put out a lot more multiple packs of pins- more affordable to buy to trade- the diversity of pins on the lanyards and boards has really increased.

I will be at WDW from 5/12 to 5/26 - 2012 - celebrating a friend's 50th birthday (early, because there is no way we are going to FL in the summer!)
