Hi, I traded my Snow White in rags Search for the imagination pin for another pin I really wanted but then saw what I thought was the same pin and acquired it again. However the second pin looks same from the front but has a different back stamp (my own fault for not asking for pics of back) can't find the second version on pin pics. So I will post up pics and ask for your judgements on here.

Photos aren't the best, it is fairly crisp in real life and if it wasn't for the back stamp I wouldn't be querying it, but I could just be rubbish at spotting fakes.

This is when I wish there was a time machine. Back at the time this pin came out, the yearly Epcot Pin Event pins not only released a large selection of LE pins, it was a place where new open edition pins debuted too. This pin wasn't an LE, but one of the open edition pins. That meant it could have been sold for years after the event. The difference might be that the first batch of pins had the Search for Imagination logo on the back, but subsequent releases had the regular for the time, park backstamp (which is what your back looks like), and this pin you have is just from a later batch.

The problem comes in with the fakes. I do know the Alice pin from this release showed up with a wrong backstamp (it says Disney Store), but your pin has nothing like that. Hopefully, a Snow White collector who might have purchased this pin in the parks in 2003/early 2004 will know if the backstamp changed after the first release of this pin.

Yes I read about the other fake/scrapper back stamp and hopefully as you say this is just a different version of the OE. Just such a rare pin I can't find any around to compare with.
