Just wanted to give a fond farewell to DPF. My collection that was for sale is now spoken for, and while I will still be collecting some Disney items I won't really be a part of this community any longer. It's bittersweet, for many reasons, and sealing the final package will be difficult... but it's just part of the end of one chapter, and I'm working on starting a much better next chapter. ;-)

I want to put out a very sincere thank you to all of you who made pin trading more than just collecting little pieces of metal for me. Many of the NorCal folks do (and will) hold special spots for me. While I won't be helping coordinate them any longer, I will still try to pop in at the local meets from time to time.

As with any community, there are always ups and downs, people and situations you both like and dislike, but I can honestly look back on the last 4-5 years and remember some really great times with a lot of you folks. Many many laughs, hugs, heartfelt smiles, and (of course) great trades. There are stories I will take away from this and remember / tell people for the rest of my life. For that, thank you all.

Mike, this is one of the nicest farewell messages I read (if not the nicest) and it is rather sad to see you go.

I don't think we ever traded, but I purchased pins from you and you were always 110% awesome.

I wish you all the best for your new chapters Thank you for being a wonderful member of the pin community.

Aww, Mike! That was so sweet! You will most definitely be missed! I hope you really do pop in at the NorCal meets - it would be nice to see your mug from time to time! Thanks for helping me with some of my harder to get pins, and thanks for making pin trading/buying fun! You'll have to be my pin consultant if I have any questions about trading, etc.!

You have become very important to John and I and we both treasure your friendship, knowledge and advice! Pin trading will NOT be the same without you.

You have helped us beyond words and we canonit believe we're going to lose you in the pin trading arena. We do know that we will not lose you as a friend though!

You are a kind and loving and have shown us so much of yourself. Your such a great person and this forum will be lacking something when you are not here.

We will stay in touch and we want you to know that our friendship expands way past pin trading!

Thank you so much for helping me to find my husband's grail - and the extra surprises along the way. While we never traded, you are responsible for a large part of our collection actually being ours. Throughout it all, you were nothing but awesome, and I will miss your prescence on the forums.
