Galactic Gathering, a special ticketed merchandise event, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, in Disney's Hollywood Studios to kick off the annual Star Wars Weekends. (This event is similar to last year's Rebel Rendezvous.) For $250 per person you will receive a commemorative pin and MagicBand, as well as "Darth's Mall Light Speed Pass," which gives expedited entry into Darth's Mall shopping area for all five weekends, enabling you to be among the first to purchase event-specific and limited edition Star Wars-themed merchandise. (Note that you will need theme park admission in addition to the event ticket.) Registration for the Galactic Gathering will begin on March 4 at 1 p.m. Eastern on the Disney Parks Merchandise website.

They had merchandise available ONLY on the "Rebel Rendezvous" day last year that WAS NOT available on any other SWW dates. I went back numerous times over the Event days and stuff that was out on the RR event day WAS NOT available again.
