When do these typically come out? Do you have to wait until the actual weekend that it starts to get?

I ask because I am going to WDW in May 2012 (check out is May 26th) and I don't know when SWW is. I heard it's usually in June and that the time I will be there is for Flower & Garden Festival.

I would like to try to buy WDW specific pins :) If they have any DVC ones, I am hoping to persuade a DVC member to buy them for me :)
 
You do have to wait for the actual weekends to purchase pins. They have a special merchandise beyond the gate by Rock n Roller Coaster. But it's only open during the weekends. Star Wars Weekends usually run the end of May through the beginning of June. This year the first week was the weekend of May 21st & 22nd.
 
I have been going to SWW for about 10 years now. TYPICALLY the first weekend is "around" the 3rd weekend in May and it runs through the late June.

BUT if you REALLY want any of the LE stuff your best bet is to go on the FRIDAY of the first weekend since they tend to sell out very quickly.
