I hosted a party at my home on May 3rd. Many of the party goers were pin traders, and brought their books to trade. One of the attendees noticed several pins missing out of their book the next morning when they looked at it.

The four pins missing were expensive, rarer pins:

Lion King Beloved Tales
Frozen Marquee from DSF
DSF Anna and Elsa LE
Designer Belle

I'm not expecting anyone to be the police here, but please use caution when initiating a trade for these pins. Especially if they seem in a hurry or rush to make a trade more in your favor, perhaps?

That's awful! I hope that the pins are found. I'm hoping that it might have just been a mistake, but that would be a pretty expensive mistake!

I was there (well, unless there were more than one pin meetup event at a house in California on Saturday), but towards the middle of the afternoon. I don't remember seeing any of those four pins when I was there. I would have especially remembered the Lion King Beloved Tales pin had I seen it.

Barf, people suck. So sorry to see this kind of garbage, especially in your own home As unlikely as it is I really hope that someone finds them. Good luck!

This is horrible! I hope you find them, it's disgusting behaviour. I hope the person that owned the pins can find them again. Hopefully you can find the thief through a list of attendees?

that is such a bummer. I do hope the pins are found, and the culprit punished by the Pin Karma gods....no more good pins for them, ever

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I am so close to selling all my pins and collecting something else! I feel so betrayed and pissed on--

Ah man ... this is awful!! I was feeling so good after reading all the cool posts about zaps and "good things" going on here ... I've been absent for a few days due to illness. This is really a rotten thing to do! I hope by some miracle these pins show up somewhere :x: ... maybe in a place the owner forgot about or in one of those dark corners in the house. (Hmm ... maybe I'm the only one that has those, lol! My kitties have stolen or maybe just borrowed pins from my table on occasion and I've yet to find them :dunno: ... hopefully some day, lol!) I truly hope that these pins find their way back to their rightful owner!! Sending you and your pin buddy lots of Pixie Dust!!

oh man! I am so sorry! I hope these pins get recovered I cant believe people can be so cruel to steal things from others collections! Its disgusting

Oh no! Don't let that person ruin the fun for you. For every awful person there are good people too. In every hobby, where money can be made it brings out the worst of some folk. All we can do is be extra vigilant and, though not mis-trustful, a healthy dose of skepticism in our comings and goings.
