Tangled couple question

Possibly the mystery couples that everyone has been anticipating is the reveal/conceal mystery set that was suppose to be released in February, but has not been seen yet. The actual pics of the pins were shown on one of the threads. As soon as they come out Everyone will be trying to get their set, it's not clear if they will be LE or LR and who the chasers will be, but the pics showed 8 princess couples.

That one came out in April of 2013. It is one of the most wanted in that set and it also has been faked. There is no notice of the scrapper alert on the new pinpics site (shame on you pinpics) but there is mention of it on the old pinpics site. Another reason to use the old pinpics and not the new.

Sure has!! I got burned by this one from an eBayer. Here are some real vs. fake photos I did, just in case you're on the fence on yours.

FRONT. (Scrapper on the left, real on the right.)

BACK. (Scrapper on the left, real on the right.)

This one in particular had two big red flags - the back stamping was a mess, and some of the coloring on the front was really off. As you can see by the photos, the scrapper was not as shiny and the metal color was just a little bit off. But as far as weights go, it was about the same, and had two nubs, one on each side of the pin post. (Which you can't see because I'm a dummy and forgot to take the backer off.) You can also see that the real one has the serial number (?) etched into the back of the pin.

We found a fake one of these on a CM lanyard in February. We clipped the post and I'll probably use it for a craft or something, but yes, scrappers are out there. Constant vigilance!!
