I've come to the conclusion that someone doesn't want me to collect Alice pins (they must realize it's safer on the wallet not to haha). First there was the whole eBay fiasco where the seller gave me some story about the pins being thrown out. A very generous DPF member offered them to me at cost soon after and the pins took a vacation to Puerto Rico, before returning to California and then Puerto Rico again before finally making their way to NJ.

Fast forward to my DA Alice pin of her reading a book with the white rabbit and cheshire cat. That pin took a few day detour in another sunny place (I forget where the tracking said exactly) before making its way this way.

Now, and possibly the most worrisome, is this pin:

Which supposedly arrived in the town to be delivered to my PO Box, before going out for delivery and is currently floating somewhere around one of the neighboring towns :anxious:

And this only happens with Alice pins LOL. I can't decide if I should laugh or cry :hs:

I have had this happen once, but it went WAY out of the way.... I sent a pin to Chicago and it took a detour through Honolulu

ooh thats nots good and to say it only happens to alice pins is a little freaky XD

fingers crossed you get that pin and it dont get lost.

Hopefully it will get there soon!

I've had a lot of problems with pin parcels recently, I've been waiting on some for over three weeks.

My boyfriend took the tracking number to the post office and they were able to track it down, hurray!

Now I either have to wait until I see him again Friday, or somehow convince him to drive here to visit. Maybe I can promise him a BBQ or something, food always seems to work on men

Yay glad u were able to track it down. But that is kinda a funny story. It kinda make me laugh when I picture pins deciding to go on vacation since they know they are going to spend a lot of time w the next owner. That would make a cute kids book. :0)

What do you expect when you deal with Wonderland?

But seriously, as hard as it is, I would try not to stress out over things that you can't control ... and you can't control how many side trips your pins take before they finally arrive at your doorstep. I'm so happy for you that you were able to track down that absolutely wonderful pin and I hope that it arrives in your hands - in perfect condition - without any further delays.
