Not a fan of awkwafina, in general - but she killed it! Liked loved her skuttle interpretation and the new song by Lin Manuel was a jam! Love love love
Skinny flounder? People b tripping…who cares on his new look, voice inflection was right on and just a different look.
Sebastian - David diggs killled it!!! Like no joke killed it. Sooo good true to character but still his own.
Melissa - loved her overall, wished she had more In her ‘death’ scene but she was sooooo good.
I wanted more from king triton, he felt too forced, he was the weakest link for me. I didn’t feel fear nor love from him like I did in the animated movie….course I’m also not the girl so impacted by that character as I once was…lol
Eric…meh, not as hot as my cartoon crush but not awful, didn’t care for his song.
Halle - what an absolute siren! Beautiful and just wonderful in her role. Scenes where she lost her voice felt cheesy, I wanted more energy and urgency from her given she had no voice to communicate but still, overall she slayed.
I lived the contextualization of the Afro-Caribbean island, I thought it effective and charming.
Looooved it overall.

I took my granddaughter today. Her singing gave me the chills. She was excellent. There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like. My GD and I laughed and cried at the end. So different than the animated one and I think it was better. Go see it!
