"The product you have selected cannot be purchased at this time."

^^^ What does that mean? Is it code for, "the item has sold out" or something?

Pretty much, yes. Unless it's like the BatB set, which have shown us the pictures on the page but isn't actually on sale yet.

Also, anyone else from the UK think the DisneyStore.com shipping charges suck? I was tempted to get a couple pins, but not after seeing how much S&H was. :(

Yes, for pins it's very expensive, and so recently, for new releases, the shippings half price, until you add anything that isn't a new release pin, which will then increase the amount up to the £4.95 depending on what it is.

Usually, new pin releases go online approx 5pm, which usually ends up to be anywhere between 4.30pm and 4.45pm. Only once thus far has a pin actually gone online at 5pm exactly. But most importantly, today's go up at 9am.

Doom, if you're trying to buy from disneyshopping.com (as in the US store) see if someone on here will get them for you. A couple of DPFers have kindly purchased pins off, of ds.com for me and have gotten either free shipping or the $5 charge, then just add on delivery to the uk there are LOTS of loverly people on here go and ask in the sale / wanted thread if you need something ^_^!

as for ds.UK god they suck, 5 quid, even 2.50 is bum quite frankly!

Totaly agree with this , Ive had a very kind member here get me some of the 110th legacy pins! It saved me A LOT of money and customes fees as they sent it out normal post rather than the method disney uses, which i always used to get hit for!!! Just create a 'WANTED' post in the buying selling bit if you want someone to help you thats all i did! :-)

I was surprised to see todays releases available early this morning, but when I tried to buy them I got that same message. I gave Disney a ring, They said that the pins werent actually available to buy yet, not until around 5pm. This seems to apply only to the Lion King pin and not the Beauty & the Beast set though. However, I was able to make my order over the phone this morning for the Lion King pin, the lady checked and said it would be OK.

***** I sometimes wonder if I can believe anything Disney staff tell me!!! I see here on the boards that the release time has been changed from 5pm to 9am!

I think they are telling porkies!!!!! I ordered both the Lion King and Beauty and the Beast online at 9am this morning :D
Disney Store posted a message on their Facebook page a couple of days ago to say they would be releasing them both at 9am this morning.

Doom - if you are thinking of buying from the US DS make sure you're aware of how much it will cost. You are guaranteed to get customs charges if the items you order cost more than £18 (but the customs charges will be on the total cost including postage).

So if, for example, you buy $100 worth of good and it costs $30 postage, you would get a charge of 20% of $130 ($26) plus a charge from the courier, which would be at least £10.

I've only really ordered from there myself when there has been a sale on and I've wanted loads, or if there's a pin that i must have that might sell out quickly. Otherwise I'd find someone in the US that can help you out.
