I was browsing on eBay, and found this beauty as "sold" for a measly $30.

Even more concerning than missing out on the auction- I've never even seen it before! Can't find it on Pinpics or anywhere else, and can't find info on it.

Does anyone know anything about this pin? Is it real, or unauthorized?

More importantly, DOES ANYONE HAVE IT FOR TRADE?

Very beautiful pin. That seller has no other sales though. I can't find any info on the pin. :(

I found it just now from a seller on eBay. They even posted a picture of the back, which looks like any other Disney Shopping pin.

I wonder if it was a prototype for a pin that didn't end up going into production?

It was sold on November 4th of this year (2014).
It looks like the seller sold their whole collection of hard to find to super rare Disney Auctions pins all at once in November. They all sold at low prices, because they were terribly labelled. I also found these!

Oh my Godddddddddddddd, I am dying!

I wonder if these were leaks from the old line that got cancelled? On Dizpins, we had a thread with the links to some "Tinker Bell As pins" that never came out (kind of like the Jessica as Marilyn that got lost for years). 2010 would be about right for those...

If they're counterfeits, then they're certainly done from those molds, because those are way too nice to be straight-up bootlegs.

I think it's more likely that these were either won in the Event raffles/auction lots, or this person dug them up from ds.com somehow.

I am dying. I want these. It's been YEARS since we've had a decent Tinker Bell release...

I am super jealous of whoever won those.

These were the ones that we were waiting for in 2010, I remember that we were waiting for Lilo, Poppins, and Maleficent. I don't remember hearing about Sleeping Beauty. These are also stamped PP pn the backs next to the back stamp.

I agree- I'm also thinking they're not bootleg, just something that never got publicly released. I'm jealous too!!!

If they have PP stamped on the back, I'm thinking the seller won these at the pin event (or got them in a mystery auction lot...did we even have one this year?). Or maybe the seller got them from the person who won them.

I'm a little confused as to why Poppins sold for as much as she did (like they knew that it was rare), but the Maleficent didn't. That's some weird handling as an ebay seller...

I am head-desking majorly over these because it's like Jessica as Marilyn all over again, back when the only 3 versions you could get were the AP set some lucky person won at the event. Fortunately for my sanity, they discovered those missing pins and released them. I'm hoping, fingers crossed, that that's what will happen here, and they actually got these made, and not just PPed/APed.

Come on, DS.com!

There were five pins in 2010 that were supposed to be released by Disney Shopping:

Tink as Maleficent
Tink as QOH
Tink as Aurora
Tink as Mary Poppins
Tink as Lilo

DS stopped selling Limited Edition Pins and they were never released supposedly. I guess they must have gotten out somehow.

They definitely were not in any auction lots because if they were I would've bid on them like crazy xD

I remember a post about them being released back in 2010 now that I think about it.

Ds.com should really start selling pins again.

Yeah, we got all that- I think the major questions we have are:

1.) How did they get out?
2.) Did they only make the PPs/APs, or did they do the full run?
3.) Are we going to get a surprise release, like we did for Marilyn, BtS set, BtS Stitch, and the Jessica and Roger Beach pin?

Basically, are we screwed because these are the only pins of their kind, or is there hope? LOL.

Yeah, but in previous years there's usually a "Mystery" lot, where you don't know what's in it. I just couldn't remember if we had a Mystery one this year or not. I think it's more likely it was given away in the grand prize, though...

And I'm kind of glad they weren't in any visible lot...as much as I would have bid of them, I would have been outbid from some of the people who attend the event. There are definitely people at the events who bid on auctions like money is toilet paper....

They may have come out as one of the Artist Proof Mystery Pin Sets that DS sold at one time.

True! Which would mean 3 of each...

Wow, if the seller got them that way, they did a really good job of keeping the lid on them. Which makes me suspect that they didn't get them that way. The chances of one person getting their hands on all of them at once is unlikely. And it would have to be one person who got all of them...the chances of the seller getting them all together for selling with other previous owners would be slim. Especially not without a leak that they existed.

But maybe if they ordered, like, 50 sets (which I know was done by some people...)

Regardless of how they got them, I would bet that the entire edition was not released. I think they would have been seen much earlier on Ebay.

There is also a picture of the Tink as Lilo in one of his listings. They were really nice pins and it is a shame that they were never released.
