It seems that the turnover for this year's Toys for Tots pins is very slow. It is already Saturday and there are still plenty of pin #1- Cinderella's mice - left. Will we ever see #2 and #3?

unprecedented for a DSF T4T pin, isn't it? where's Brave, Tangled, Up or Frozen? (they could give 1 pin for TWO toys and still have a line around Hollywood!)

I wish that GSF/DSSH would set aside TfT #1 and start handing out #2 and #3! :) I have a back seat full of toys, but I already have three Cinderella Mice pins that no one wants (at least on the PinPics TA system)!

perhaps it is not so much an indicator of the pins popularity... as it is a lack of funds in the community to give a toy as yet? OR perhaps we will see an increase in donated toys after thanksgiving and black friday sales?

I honestly thought they should have released another pin and just offered two at the Frozen release. If it was a decent pin a lot of people would have just bought a toy at the DSS to donate so DSS gets the sale and the donation. 700 people there could have helped a lot of kids. And then DSS has been insanely busy lately with the Frozen pre-release showings so more people would go donate.

All they would need to do is post the pins in the series, with Rapunzel or Kevin being the third and final pin. Everyone will attempt to run out the first two, in the series, to get to the third. Marketing still needs to be employed and it hasn't been promoted near enough, to move these pins.

You can buy a toy for $10 at DSF. So many people bring like $5 or $6 toys they got on discount at walmart or big lots but if you were a kid I'm sure you'd appreciate a nice new ~current~ season toy.

I saw no $10 toys at DSS. Everything just below or right around $12.95 :)

I hope the kids enjoy the stuffed animals I donated! :)

Jake & the Neverland Pirates toy at the back wall was $10.95. Also you could buy multiple lower toys to add up, so the Golden Books maybe. They let people trade 10 hotwheels cars at the Frozen release. I don't think they are super strict on the rules.

I was just there to see Frozen and the pin has not changed. Unfortunately I forgot my toy so I'll just have to give it at my work's toy charity instead. Disappointing to hear they haven't gotten more. I agree if it was a more popular pin, people would come in droves but it's also that people might not be aware.

When I was there Saturday, the cashier said that it had to be one toy worth at least $10, that it couldn't be multiple toys to add up to $10...so they must have realized they were doing it wrong on Friday

I was hoping that someone found out the characters on pins #2 & #3 by now. I asked them last night when I was there donating my toys but they claimed 'no one is telling us'.....cmon......Actually was glad that #1 was still available because I didn't find out about the start of the drive until yesterday. There is still the potential with the limit of 4 this year for a popular character on any of the next 2 to cause it to be gone in one day, which makes it tough for us working folk in Orange County to make it up there in time.

Here he is! He looks cute, I think.
