So I am at DLR yesterday and at the barrels is a trader which has a #38484 AND a #38481. I want to get these to help my one out of eleven attempt at getting all the Golden Vehicles from the 50th. So I offer a DSF #79248 which I just got and have no idea what the 'trade balance' is. The trader says he wants two DSF pins in exchange for these two OE yet retired pins. So I offer a cool rack pin, I forget which one. He still says he will only accept two DSF pins. I say thank you no and go on my merry way.

Just now I look at the trades/wants on all three. Seems you can look at it a number of ways. But I THINK it was about even, MAYBE I could have given him that cool rack pin and it would be about even.

Feedback please?

The golden ride are wanted, and so I thinkl trading a little better for them isn't unheard of. I usually seek a little something better then a puffle for the few that I have. The DSF one you offered I believe went on to clearance at DSF and usually traders at the tables think a little less of those because well, how many people want them if they went to clearance? See what I mean. I think if you went up with a more current DSF pin or one with a little wanted character, it may have been different. If you have gone up with a Jessica Rabbit DSF, I think both golden ride's would have been fair.

They are one of those pins that are simply hard to value. Of the two, I would say the Cheshire would be the one worth a little more because it is an error pin and it's Cheshire. A lot of people collect Alice and so it crosses over into two groups that are likely to collect that one pin.

At the same time, I'll go easy on you, but I have a Cheshire for trade and so drop me a pm if you're interested in trading for it still :)

Thank you. Like I said, I did not know what the T/W was on the other, much less that it was a clearance thing. Some folks snatch those up fast in trading like gold. Hhmmmm.

As far as trading for yours, I am going back on Thursday and if he is there again I am going to try do a trade. If not, then I will get back to you.

Thanks!

If it's something you really want for your own collection and to complete a set then you can trade a bit more for them. I don't know much about those pins in particular but I haven't noticed them for trade very often so they may trade well. If you have a DSF clearance pin you can lay on him and some other random DSF pin then it sounds like a good deal to me.
