Hi! I will be visiting DLRP for the first time and was wondering what pin trading with CM is like there - are there certain pins that people are most excited to see on lanyards? Are there problems with scrappers or counterfeit pins on lanyards? Unfortunately I have to pack light so I can only bring along a few pins.

The CM lanyards in DLRP are great! Look out for the cast lanyard pins they have, you'll know them when you see them as they are very large and great looking pins with thick golden outlines to them. I am trying to collect them all as they are so stunning! Recent ones have been Aladdin's lamp, Naveen, Little Brother, Jaq in glass slipper, Baby elephant and Piglet but there are a lot more.

Do keep an eye out for fakes/scrappers as there are some about the park but it really isn't a huuuuge problem there I traded with CM's over 30 times on my last holiday and only came back with 1 scrapper! And back then I didn't know which ones to watch out for or much at all about scrappers!

Some of the nicest pins can be found in the smaller shops about the park, well thats what I found! Try the little christmas ornament shop inside the castle, its a really busy shop so its hard to get to the CM's in the small store to trade but I think that might be why they all had such nice pins

Don't forget to try the movie studios park too if you are going in there

I found a LOT of great rack pins on the CM lanyards, ones I was going to buy but in the end I managed to trade for Keep a keen eye out for parts of multi-sets too, I got one of the cupcake pins (angel) from the booster set off a lanyard and its truly stunning!

If you're there on a Saturday then try the trading outpost in the indian village round the corner from Big Thunder Mountain as there is a pin trading shop there and some traders sit outside at benches

I found that a great time to trade was late at night in disney village, I'm talking 11pm-1am closing time, as the store is quiet and a lot of staff are about putting new things out so its easy to talk to them and check out their lanyards

Keep an eye out for general staff about the park, out of shops I mean, like people on the turnstyles, managers or just anyone wandering around as a lot of them have a lanyard on

Thanks so much for the tips! It sounds like I should prepare more than one lanyard to bring I'm trying to budget this trip, and it seems like a good time to trade for gift pins for my friends for souvineers too!
