Hi everyone!
I'm a very active member and pin collector but I rarely ever post. I generally just buy pins, but I'm getting into trading instead now. I just wanted to know if it's easier to trade on here or if I just send out requests on pinpics? Is pinpics reliable for trading? I'd rather discuss a trade rather than just offer, like on pinpics. I've never traded online before and I just want to make the process as easy as possible for myself! I thought about putting this thread in the trading forum, but this is just a general question. Thanks everyone! Happy collecting!

I have had good luck both here and on pinpics. You have to be patient though. Also before you can post in the trade forum you need to have more posts elsewhere.

HI Megan,
I never us pinpic. I prefer to trade here. I find it easier to have conversations as you mentioned, here and I also get a sense of the members, their pin likes, etc from their posts.

Hi miss Megan,
i would trade with you to help out
That would be awesome if you could attempt a trade with me! Of course, only if you'd like to.

HI Megan,

I would assume so. Thanks for all of the responses! I think it would be harder to trade with a complete stranger.

I trade on both, but prefer here (better sense of who I am trading with, and there are feedback scores here)

If you want to do more than just a pinpics trade request (I rarely get answers to mine), once you find a match, just go to your inbox and compose a message instead of doing the pinpics trade request. That seems to have a little bit better of a response rate....

Is your pinpics the same as your ID here? If not post it & we can compare wants & see about trading - thats the most fun part of pin collecting to me!

Yes, my pinpics is the same as on here! But my traders are never updated because it varies day to day what I feel like parting with, you know? I always trade in park, but I never traded online before!

I am quite new to trading and to date I have not made any trades on PinPics, but I have made quite a few here Like others have said I prefer to trade here because it feels a bit more like you are connecting with a person and there is also feedback on everyone's profiles so you can see if they have traded well in the past. I feel weird sending random people trade requests on PinPics.. o.o Ha ha
Good luck trading I am sure you will get right into it here

Alright, thanks so much for the info and tips, guys!

You should try to develop a core of traders on Pinpics and keep it up to date. Pins you will allways trade, pins once traded are removed from your list.. Nothing is more frustrating for a trading partner, than try to work out a trade only to have it pulled back at the last minute. my Pinpic traders are only duplicates or pins I purchased with trading in mind.

I have a set trading list, but I'd always negotiate or something if it was a pin I really wanted. That's why I'd rather talk than send a request. Thanks for the tip!

Hi Miss.Megan! I've been trading for nearly a year and I've done about 90% of my trading through Instagram (aka PINstagram). Like you, I like to be able to discuss the trade offers and negotiate with other traders and Instagram has been great for that. Lots of traders there have worked out their own little ways of keeping feedback/references so you still get a sense of who you're dealing with and whether or not they're reliable. I haven't done much trading here, but I'm hoping to change that this year!

I have been following a few on Instagram, but I don't usually post pictures of my pins or anything, I actually just bought two pins from Instagram last night. Thanks!

ive traded on pin pics once and the pin wasnt in the best condition but that was my fault for not asking for pictures so dont be afraid to have them email you pictures
and on here i havent had a chance to trade yet or sell since i havent had enough post but hopefully soon
have good luck trading tho!
