Uh oh.... This can't be a good sign. What is going on at DSF?

I was wondering about that when i noticed that Ariel wasn't in the pic. Thanks for the info.

As far as I've heard, no one knows who the seller was. Probably a fake account since someone on IG mentioned that it had been deleted shortly after the pictures were taken down and only had one friend listed.

Has to be an employee. Sellers from China with scrappers, overruns, etc. rarely have the entire packaging, backer card & plastic. If it's in plastic it was one of the ones from California, or meant for California as part of the 306 or 406 allotment. (FYI, if you didn't know DSSH gets 6 extras at every release for quality problems or in case of a misscount.)

So to me it looks like someone pulled 1 of each from the boxes at DSSH, maybe during delivery or possibly snuck below. Or they could have been a postal worker like for UPS and saw the box and where it was going. But I don't think from China, unless they bought scrappers and put them in the packages with cards from other releases.

My immediate thought was an inside job . I would hope that DSF/GSF has a decent security system and whoever took them is caught , but if it was removed during delivery it could be a matter of waiting for the thief to get desperate and try to sell them . If the 2nd scenario proves to be the result then they'll have to at least postpone the release .

According to the people that posted it on Facebook and/or Instagram, they reported it to DSF with the proof that it was an inside job from an employee. They haven't posted exactly what the proof is, but if you look hard enough you can find who they're saying did it. (I won't post the name because I don't know what proof they have and obviously I'm as clueless on what is happening as the rest of you lol).

I just hope that whoever did it, gets caught and the release isn't cancelled because I would love to own Anna, Elsa and Ariel from that set.

If it turns out that the release will be cancelled, does this mean these pins will never be released or simply postponed?

I recall seeing a post that all of the Princess release pins at GSF have been accounted for...don't remember where though :sigh:

GSF will be at the WDW event next week...probably with their preview board like last year...

We just want to let everyone know we are aware of the posts regarding the sale of our pins scheduled for September 26th. We are currently diligently working together with Ghirardelli to investigate the issue so we can ensure the integrity of our pin trading program remains intact. The scheduled pin release will still be held on the 26th. Thank you to all the pin traders for bringing this matter to our attention.

This is good news. The release will still go on as planned. I just won't be there, one less voucher to hand out

Good luck and have fun to all who planning to attend.

Thankfully the release is still going on ! I'm so glad cause I really want the Ariel / Anna / Elsa.

Hopefully the person did the right thing and returned the pins they stole.

I wonder if they'll consider actually numbering the pins in the future, similar to how some of the Paris ones are.

That would be really cool...but then people would want the pin respective to the one in their voucher...which doesn't make sense cause a lot of people trade theirs away.

I would look for my favorite number, the first number or the last. (And you know people would say the 001/XXX is worth more than the rest because of some ridiculous reasons).

I just posted an article to my site with comparison pictures from the internet of the Jessica Rabbit Football pins recently released. The metal of some of the pins had signs of being fake, the kind of stuff we normally see like thicker metal lines, scratches, small detail off, etc - but I also wondered how they could be faked so soon or if it's just Really poor pin quality. I was going to post the picture here but its very large and also didn't want to cause a problem since there's no real proof other than from what's seen in pictures - but the pin metal looks to be an issue right off.
