Upcoming Piece of Movie Pins!

I hope they have some scenes with Figaro & Cleo for the Pinocchio one & that they use the scene with all the puppies watching TV for 101 Dalmatians.

No... I'm sorry, Pauly. I was thinking of the scene where Pinocchio comes to life, with the blue fairy. For some reason, I thought that was when they played that song. It's been over 20 years since I've seen that movie, so I didn't remember it correctly. My mistake.

I would say that I will go back and watch it again, in order to remember the scene correctly, but the truth is that I really didn't like it the first time.

Cute pins - love the dalmatians one. How many different scenes get released? Bet its a pain trying to get them all without duplicating the same scene.

It is a 2 minute span of film from the movie. If someone wanted to get all of the scene, they would have to buy at least 1000 of the pins if not all 2000. That is why I love these pins so much is because they're pretty unique!

I can't even remember any other songs from those two films.

Pinnochio - I have no strings, Wish upon a star pop in my head.
101 - Dalmation Plantation and Cruella De Ville
Sword in the Stone - Higitus Figitus, Thats what makes the world go round

The Cruella de Vil song doesn't have the dogs in it (except for Pongo and Perdy for like 30 seconds), so i'm hoping if its going to be a song its Dalmatian Plantation. That one has all 101 Dalmatians. But like someone said, I would be sooo happy if they did the scene where the dogs are watching TV.

For Pinocchio, I'd like it if they did I Got No Strings and they had cels with Pinocchio and the other girl dolls.

Hell, 2 minutes?! Disney sure know how to get money off us pin lovers!

I hope they don't bring out an Aladdin scene(s) that is going to be painfully expensive.

Also does the whole scene get released att the same time? And can people obtain the same scene or is each scene different? Are they LE?

I believe it is 2 minutes. That's how they get 2000 pins out of it. They are LE2000, but they trade more like low LE pins, especially if you have a good frame from the scene. The whole scene(all 2000 pins) does get released at the same time- part of the 2000 are sent to Disneyland and the other part are sent to WDW(we are not sure if it is half and half or more to WDW because it is larger). People can obtain similar frames, but I don't know that any of them are exactly the same.

Oh, and Aladdin isn't on the line-up for this year, but they are continuing them next year so it is possible.

24 frames per second, 2000 pins = 83 seconds + 8 frames

24 frames per second, 2000 pins = 83 seconds + 8 frames

So it is actually 1 minute and 23 1/3 seconds. I never knew the exact number or math, thanks!

I wonder if when they do the series next year they'll extend out the time and the edition size...

So for the Dumbo edition, my unscientific count based on timing the scene used goes

700 Frames with Dumbo in them (Varying poses)
100 Frames with Timothy (looking from left to right)
150 Frames with Giraffes
150 Frames with Monkeys (swinging)
150 Frames with Tigers (yawn)
150 Frames with Ostriches
150 Frames with Hippos
150 Frames with Kangaroo
150 Frames with Hyennas (laughing)
150 Frames with Zebras

Thanks for the info!
Sounds like a very expensive set to complete.

I think if they do release a Aladdin one, I would be happy with just one lol actually I say that and probably end up getting most of them. If they do a nice scene with Jasmine & Rajah then that would be a top want!

If anyone can possibly get me the 101 Dalmation one, I think someone is getting me the Pinocchio one. I would be very appreciative, unfortunately I missed out on getting the Dumbo one

Thanks guys,
Michael

There could be 2 of the same cel. A lot of classic animation was done "on 2's" meaning each cel or drawing was used for 2 frames of film. The human eye can only perceive about 10 separate images per second so having 12 images go by in a second would still create "the illusion of life". Some scenes needed to be done on 1's or had a part of it that needed an extra drawing to make the action appear smooth. Films like Who Framed Roger Rabbit had to be done entirely on 1's due to the marrying of the animation with live action.
